Deep condolences to the family, immediate and extended. I had the great good fortune to meet Heather Henson (who is just a lovely person) at Dragon*Con last year, and she shared wonderful pictures from the Henson family during her childhood. It's so clear what special people and good parents...
A wallaby? A Flemish Giant Rabbit with a matching Dwarf Rabbit? A giraffe?
Wait--I've got it. I'm not even kidding here. An "Elephino." I would LOVE to see an Elephino puppet.
Hi all,
I made this last night just after goofing around doing some lip-sync with my lovely Yeti before heading out to do a book reading at the public library. I hope you like it!
Special thanks to J&W's Wicked Puppet Factory!
Hey all,
I didn't know if there were a more appropriate place to post this, but I wanted to share the video I made last night. This is a Christmas song that I wrote and recorded, performed with a fantastic Yeti puppet buit by the amazing J&W's Wicked Puppet Factory. I hope you like it!
Slackbot, it was a pleasure to meet you and Janken at the con. I was the guy in the front of the line at the Muppet panel. Janken and I talked about my iPad, and we ended up sitting next to each other in the panel. Really nice to get to meet you!
It really was such a cool event. I'd never been to Dragon*Con before, but it was so open and multi-fandom that really no kind of fan was out of place. I really hope that they bring the puppetry track back next year!
That's awesome! I was there too, and at many of the same panels--the "It's Time to Raise the Curtain" panel, the "Heather Henson: A Daughter Remembers" panel, the "Peter Linz: Muppeteer" panel, and the Fraggle Rock panel. I also got a chance to chat with Peter Linz out in the hallway, where he...
I'm thirty-five, and Jerry's voice is one I've known (actually many I've known) for my entire life. I'm so sad to hear he's gone. Thank you, Jerry Nelson, for all of your wonderful characters and for the wonderful parts of yourself that you brought to them. I hope the Count is keeping track of...
I've really never seen any version of the Bachelor / Bachelorette shows before, so I was really only in this for the Muppets. But I thought it was generally an adorable appearance. What I loved was that at least two or three of the guys on the show seemed more excited about the Muppets than...
I'm going to nominate Atlanta, for a reason familiar to others who've posted. It's closest to me! Also, it's got the Center for Puppetry Arts, which is a great place to visit, with a lot of Henson material and connections. :) :jim:
