I don't think he's telling you to have no opinion about it so far, but just to remember first that this isn't in the right context. For all we know, it could be in the same context as the first trailer it was in, mocking that type of humor, and saying that The Muppets shouldn't resort to that.

I don't mind the ugliness, but the voices are ridiculous. How could Disney approve this? They're just awful, why couldn't they have just used an archival recording.

Jim Hill just posted a review of the album, and it's pretty positive! Now I can't wait even more! I am a bit worried about the one bad thing he said about the album, which is that there were a few off Muppet voices.
