the muppets take manhattan
Finally (for now), here is my list of features for a two-disc special edition of The muppets take manhattan. Since Sony owns the distribution rights, they would probably need to make a deal with Disney for some of the following features.
Both Discs:
Commentary...

There were only two celebrity cameos in 20 and still counting: Ray Charles and Placedo Domingo. are you sure you aren't confusing this special with Stars And Streets Forever, Elmopalooza or What's The name Of That Song? (probably not the latter, since all celebrities in Whats The name Of That...

All episodes of The Storyteller, including the ones from The Jim Henson Hour, already are availible on DVD. The Dog City episode (minus the opening, the pre-show sequence, and possibly Jim Hensons closing if there was one) is availible on DVD in the united Kingdom (but not the United States...
I am not sure whether Muppet Worlds is the right forum for thus or if Classic Muppets is more appropiate, but if anybody has seen all of Land Of Tinkerdee, can anybody tell me which charcaters from tales of the tinkerdee are included, who some new characters are, and what performers are in it...
calico jacks credit
that's weird that calico jack was credited. I never noticed his credit before. if he was credited, then why not also credit Angel Marie, Old Tom, Real Old Tom, floyd, zoot, Animal or The Swedish Chef?
There is an interview with steve whitmire on muppet central where he said that he performed fozzie in many of the scenes where fozzie and miss piggy appeared together, while frank oz dubbed the voice.
two kermits
there was one scene in the movie where kermit was literally talking to himself in the dessert. for this scene, do you know whether there were two kermit puppets and jim henson dubbed the vice for one of them, or if the scene was matted (like if kermit was playing a dual role)?
kermit and john john
does anybody know whether kermit and john john ever appeared together? one thing I noticed about john john's sketches was that all of the ones that i've seen take place in front of a blue background and john john always wore a red shirt. does anybody know if all of his...

many of the most famous sesame street songs have been released on various albums or videos over the years. there was recently a three-disc CD called Songs From The Street, which has many of the most famous songs from the show, including Being Green, ABC-DEF-GHI, Rubber...
I am referring to the character that beauregard showed a picture of. I wonder if he was created for Muppet Treasure Island or if he was around before in some obscure henson production. I wonder if there are any design sketches that have a name for him, or if he had a proper name in the scripts...
Nickelodeon also showed the episodes with Joel Grey, Ruth Buzzi, Phyllys Diller, Ben Vereen, Harvey Korman and Candace Bergan. most of them had the season 2 opening, but the Joel Grey episode was shown with the season 5 opening.
yes, Muppet babies ended before pepe was around. In beauregards description, he says that gonzo plays the role of Pepe the Party, so this pepe is actually gonzo playing a role.
This video was made in 1998, two years before the jim henson company was sold to em.tv and before the jim henson companies ownership of the sesame street characters was sold. I don't think the jim henson company was in negotiations with EM.TV at the time, but even if it was, EM.TV decided to...
