I really hope it's a weird angle on Scooter because they really did take a step back. The prototypes were perfect for the look they were going for. Do you know how it stays on then? Yeah, maybe there's a peg sticking through the bottom of the hat and a hole in his head we can't see.

I'm not saying they were at all going for a cartoony feel; that's just how they look to me.

Yes, you are right. Piggy is a good example of a character who was done wrong. The long-haired one is a whole lot more acceptable. I thought they did a good job on Zoot, but Janice was too tall and thin. They kind of remind me a bit of the Little Muppet Monsters cartoon.

But they were so spot on as well. These are more like cartoon versions of the Muppets; the textures of the Palisades figures were even like the foam they used on the actual puppets.

What I found interesting is that the second wave was originally supposed to be Bert, the Count, Yip-Yip Martians and Roosevelt Franklin (carrying on with the 2 core, 2 obscure character trend), but this interview and other accounts later had the latter 2 being replaced by Elmo and normal Grover...
