Don't be sorry. The answers got a bit carried away, IMHO.
My point is, that many people don't understand how much effort goes into making a puppet. I actually do encourage you to try to build one. See the amount of time it takes. Divide the $75.00 by that time, to get a price per hour...
The puppet is by Ron Binion. His company is called Transformed Puppet. I think it was used for some videos called "The Shat", but I could be wrong.

You can always ask and see what he says.
I am not sure how taking a jab at people for sharing honest feedback is warranted. Since you don't know anything about me and what I have seen, I will let that go. A warning is a very reasonable request and I'd like to think that most people would understand that.
Anyway, back to the discussion.
Agreed. I was unhappy to have, without warning, watched an animal carcase decaying. I stopped the video quickly, but a warning would be highly recommended.
Agreed. And let me add, Big and Small, as well as, Apollo's Pad. I also recently found out they had a hand in Whoopi's Littleburg and CBC's The Mighty Jungle.
Very nice indeed. Mathieu is a fantastic builder. You guys are very fortunate to have him on board. What an artist! I look forward to seeing the movement of this puppet.
Hey Buck,
Thanks for that link, but I didn't read anywhere that they were looking for puppeteers for a video shoot. I guess my focus is on film and video.
It seems from the add that they are interested in puppeteers for live shows. I might have actually spoken with someone from their...
There is only one Craig's List add up, so it must be you guys. No one answered my email, but that's okay. I'm not really wanting the training, just curious about who was offering it.
Hey Buck. I assumed it was you and your troupe that posted the need for background puppeteers for a video shoot add on Craig's List. Am I correct?
Nice moose head that Mathieu is building btw.
Hi Gordon,
I've made two gorilla puppets with live hands. Here in my gallery and here.
They both look good on camera with this method.
I hope that helps a little.

When I am designing or building a puppet, I think about its intended use.
If a puppet will be used on a green screen, then I make sure there is no green in the design or build. Likewise with a blue screen.
What? No Kim?
I know pros, but no one that would do it for free.
What about those two others from Dotboom that you had helping out?
If you find a good female puppeteer in the GTA willing to work for free, let me know. ;)
