I know of other frogs that sing and dance. Robin, for example. But Robin doesn't have a collar. Neither do any of the other Muppet frogs.
...<lightbulb> Maybe Kermit has a collar as a way to identify him. Sort of like his eyes. No other frog has lines through his eyes, but Kermit does. No...
Yes. Floyd got eyes that blink, Fozzie's head got rounder, and Gonzo got moving eyelids. Well actually, Gonzo was completely rebuilt. I don't know if the others were... <shrug> And that's all I know. I think. I mean, I think that's all I know. Well, on this topic, anyway, I know a lot more than...
Chapter nineteen
“Could someone please pass the butter?”
“Who else wants syrup?”
“Hey Chef! We need more pancakes!”
“Rizzo! My Cap’n Alphabet is sending me a message!”
“Not again...”
“So I told him that was the craziest thing I’d ever heard of, and-“
“No, Who’s on first...
Yes, I do indeed have homework. I also have a bathroom to clean, and laundry to do. BUUUUUUUUUUUUT!
...<taps fingers>...We need, a little... comedy. We need, a little... not so comedy. We need, a little... something I've wanted to put in a fanfic all summer. We need, a little... um... more...
Don't. You. Dare. Leave. Me. Hanging. Here. Come back and tell me more. I'm shaking from that chapter. Tell me more. Please. I mean, all the Muppets are pretty funny- "he had it right the first time!" - but now I'm shaking. What happened to Lori?!? Come on, please tell... someone hurry up and...
Wow, you sure have been cranking this story out! I love it so far, especially how you've been explaining some discrepancies in Muppet history. I do have one question, though. How did Scooter end up at the church? Or is that being attributed to TMM being "almost approximately" how it happened?
Are you kidding? We still don't know who the thief is! And what if Under the Weeping Willow totally bombs? They'll be right back where they started! We've still got some loose ends to tie up, and it's going to take, oh... at least... one, two, three, four chapters. A little drawn out? Maybe...
"...it's just going on..." Oh, poor Rowlf! Oh..... there is no way on this planet that Rowlf the Dog deserves to be booed away from ANY performance! I just wanna jump into the story and give him a hug. That, or seriously injure the guy who made the dog joke... well, okay, maybe I'd just yell at...
Vic Roman is a guy. He was joking.
...wait... are you joking, too? I can never tell... but then, if I can't tell, maybe no one else can, either... maybe I'm joking, too! Or... wait...
Thanks!
Oh, and um, by the way... Scooter's line about "102 countries have gotta mean something," that's from, uh, The Muppet Show was broadcasted in 102 countries. I think. Just thought I'd mention, in case anyone was wondering.
Oh, and Gonzo's 316 percent... there's no significance to...
Yes, but these days, Kermit is associated with three things: the frog, the frog, and the frog. Keep in mind, as a child Jim Henson had a friend named Kermit (who was not a frog). In fact, according to the baby name website I use randomly, the name Kermit is of Celtic origin and means "Free Man."...
<shiver> Ooh, I can't wait! Some great, GREAT stuff in this chapter. Fozzie, particularly, was very funny. (Not for the reasons he would want, but...) And I can TOTALLY see Gonzo making that jump! Ooh, well done, muppetwriter!
I understood what you meant, Mrs. Pepper. Or at least I think I did. You're asking if... hm, it is a little hard to phrase. Time for analogies... you're asking if "Muppets are to puppetry as Elmo is to Sesame Street." Like, are we (as Muppet fans) looked down upon for liking the Muppets, who get...
............
<closes eyes>
<opens eyes>
...Robin... poor little Robin... indeed, why are his memories so sad? ...thank you, for mentioning Lloyd Galt, and Under the Weeping Willow... poor Robin... And... Kermit... I... he... I mean... a... oh....... and... <sniff>
why are there so...
Chapter eighteen
Kermit stood in front of his desk at the theater. He felt completely empty. Robin had helped, on the porch. But here, at the theater, it was different. This was what he was going to lose. This was his dream.
He could hear everyone getting ready. Beauregard and the rats were...
Thank you much for the wonderful comments. I have to admit, the scene with Kermit and Robin... it haunted me for a couple nights after I wrote it. Which was interesting, because I was at camp, sharing a cabin with a bunch of Israeli girls who were speaking a lot of Hebrew. So there I was half...
I don't know. If (when? hopefully?) I get a job with the Muppets, and I was suddenly privvy to a bunch of information that I wasn't supposed to tell anyone outside the company... That'd be tough. I guess a second user name could help, but then I might get confused... ah well. Cross that bridge...
