Honestly, I don't have any method of providing you with voice samples on the net. My apologies. Guess I should be prepared to back up bravado with a little technology, huh?
I'll look into method. I should do that anyway.
BUT WAIT! If you go to...
Thanks everybody! It really was a chance encounter. The guy who was doing the film (and being on the show) is a real Minnesota-pusher. He really believes that Minnesota can hold it's own when it comes to production. So he went looking locally for somebody who could make the puppets for him...
I've seen the finished piece already (when I went in for ADR) and it's funny enough that I'm positive it'll be on YOU TUBE before we can bat an eyelash after it airs.

You must be joking. MY standards are MUCH higher than theirs.
LOL!
Just kidding.:)
But seriously, I couldn't know the answer to your question unless I was there.
Obviously I would trust the panel you mentioned to identify the best impersonations from whatever group they were auditioning...
Hmmm...
The voices I can do knowing I'm hitting them dead-on:
Kermit (both Steve and Jim)
Rowlf
Fozzie
BeBop De Diddly Dog Bop
LaChoy Dragon
Animal
Link Hogthrob
Dr. Teeth
Sesame Street:
Ernie
Grover
Martian
Non:
A.L.F.
Count Blah
Most folks can do passable imitations of the characters if...
Hey everybody,
This is a note to let you all know that my puppets will be appearing in a 1 minute segment on the new reality tv show called Steven Speilberg's "On The Lot".
I built a couple of puppets for one of the contestants on the show and puppeteered them for his film piece.
I...
I've never actually met a MUPPET, but have met several "muppeteers". The most notable being Jerry Juhl. But I did meet Jane N.H. at Puppetmania 2000 for a brief "hello". As well as meeting Vicki Eibner (Ojo) and Noel McNeal (Bear) from Bear In The Big Blue House at the Atlanta Center For...
My boss sent me this link:

After you watch it, come back and discuss. I realize from square one that this is potentially a hot-button thread, so I am going to immediately request that we keep as far away from the politics of...
There is a fellow out of New York by the name of Bill Diamond who's doing something very similar, but he's aiming his show at kids and families. We're going for a late-night grown-up audience...college aged, etc.

That's a great puppet... and HUGE!!! Good crimeny! It's got a bigger head than a human!
But what really strikes me is it's likeness to the cartoon character "Spot" in the old Hong Kong Phooey cartoon. Phooey's sidekick who always got him out of jams. They called him Spot because he was a...
I think it's a terrific idea... that's why I tried to do it with my website at www.puppetforge.com, but I found that puppeteers are horrible at filming their shows. The majority of footage I received was un-usable. Typically it was the sound. The sound is generally so poor that it was...
Justa quick note to proudly announce that Transylvania Television is moving on to it's second day of shooting! We're committing to HD Video and this coming Sunday we'll be capturing all of the green-screen footage for our pilot episode "An Interview With Some Vampire".
We'll have our website...
Just wanted to post here a little story about the patterns.
I have some friends who encourage the creative path for their children. Their youngest, who just turned 11, has discovered an interest in puppetry. Because I'm so involved (as a hobby and with my new TV show Transylvania...
I must dis-agree.
Give him MORE RedBull. If he's this funny now, imagine what'll happen when you amp him up even more!
But funny stuff. Good job. Somewhat reminiscent of the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre in that "winging it comedy" sort of way.
Good luck on that!
Hmm... do you...
Like many productions across the board these days, they may make use of ADR and have a different puppeteer under Gobo for Jerry's health's sake (not to stress him out). But if he can sit in a recording studio, he can always provide the voice.
This is NOT the best scenario, but it's one possible...
The thing that I learned from Jerry Juhl (among many, but this is germain t the thread) is CHARCTER is KING.
Jerry's entire process revolved around making the characters as real as possible and then the comedy (or the story) flowed from that.
Its really interesting to compare, say, Fraggle...
