When have the Muppets said "wigging out?"
Anyway, I agree with most of your list. But I mus talso say bring back...
The cast of The Jim Henson Hour
Seymour, Nigel the director, and Bill the Bubble Guy
Clifford
Link Hogthrob and Dr. Strangepork (they haven't appeared in puppet form since...
That doesn't mean that Lips couldn't have played a different instrument for once. Zoot played the tambourine in the closing number. Lips is the only member of the band who has only played one instrument.
In Teressa Brewer's Cottonfields number I'd repalce the generic female trumpet player with Trumpet Girl. I'd also put Trumpet Girl in the orchestra in the Roy Clark, Gilda Radner, and Jean Stapleton episodes in place of generic whatnot musicians (though she is more-or-less a generic whatnot...
I have to agree with you on that.
In the Danny Kaye "Inchworm" number, I think I'd replace a few of the generic whatnots with Gladys (though after recieving the thrid season set I now realise that she was pretty much gone by then) and Louis Kazagger.
Although I like the character, I...
I saw an amazon link for the graphic novel, which will be titled Meet the Muppets. According to that amazon page, it'll be released in both paperback and hardcover.
Of course, what I wonder is whether the various one-shots will be collected into such graphic novels.
Probably the same way and reason that Kermit and the others got captured. We don't really know why the pigs wanted to take over the show, aside from probably wanting to be spotlighted more. Kermit is really the only one shown getting captured (by net). We only see where Kermit, Fozzie, and Gonzo...
I recall that neither movie had much television advertising. I was a bit annoyed at the scarcity of seeing TV ads on television. I think I saw more MFS TV commercials than EIG. I saw the EIG trailer in theaters, but not the MFS trailer. It's possible that people didn't see the ads and weren't...
You know, I was thinking, and it seems to me that MTM is really the onylk one where characters where fashion specific to the time it was made. The outfits in TMM seem timeless to me, and in GMC the various characters look like they are dressed in 1950s/ 1960s fashions despite being made in 1981.
This sounds tempting, but I'm not sure. I feel (and a few have commented on this at times) like many of my posts (both first-posts in threads and responses) seem well-thought-out, perhaps more appropriate for an article. Though outdated, I would like to review A Celebration of Me, Grover! and...
You know what? Elmo in Grouchland was released in theaters around october 1, 1999, and was released on video the week before christmas of that year. So either it did really poorly in theaters leading to a video release (which probably doesn't make much sense) or it was planned to be out in...
I disagree. I feel like it's the most dated. The others (where they play themselves) have a timeless look and feel, while this one seems more contemporary (should I count MCC or MTI as being dated? They were supposed to take place in the past).
At the time they came out I was really excited, and saw them as really great movies, and were higher on my list of favorite Muppet and Sesame Street productions.
For Muppets From Space, it felt like a big deal at the time, since it was the first Muppet movie since Jim's death where the...
It sounds like a good line-up despite the lack of classic clips. I saw the remixed version of Imagination on sesamestreet.org a few days before the videos release and I just KNEW that it'd be included (I'm not sure if this had already aired during season 39). If the remake of the song had the...
I just checked out Roger Langridge's blog, and he mentioned something about a "Pigs in Space" one-shot he'll be writing. Could this mean that he's actually writing and illustrating a full Pigs in Space comic?
