Introduction
Kermit announces that tonight is "Muppets night at the circus!"
Opening Number: Let's Get Together
A lion...
I thought that for musical numbers all of the audio is recorded before filming/ taping. So I wonder why during the outtakes for the closing song the characters voices aren't heard singing when the puppets stop moving their mouths, yet the music still plays in the background.
And it's off...
Depending on how knowledgeable you are on the characters, do you think you'd include any of the characters created for The Jim Henson Hour (by the way, Clifford is one of them, he's not a post-1990 Muppet)? Bean Bunny became a main character on that series, though he was introduced a few years...
Other game slike what I mentioned include the Ren & Stimpy game Stimpy's Invention and a Mickey and Donald game for Sega Genesis (I forget the title).
Another thing that could stretch out the legnth of the game idea: Beauregard would dump the trash in a dumpster that's three or four blocks...
Is it just me, or do the opening two-page spreads seem to be getting smaller with each issue, leaving little room for more obscure characters? Of course most of them seem to include original characters as well.
And something that I thought would have been cool for those spreads: A short...
Chapter 7
Miss Piggy walked over to Zhondra.
"You are not taking over anything", said Miss Piggy, who then karate chopped her. Zhondra then fell over a controll panel, which instantly caused all of the other Muppets to get zapped into the room.
"Hey, where are we?", asked Bean.
"I...
Good show. It's a shame that you didn't at least include a small portion of the ghost story sketch (or at least a mention).
I like how you end it with a montage of fifth season Electric Mayhem numbers. Especially Barnyard Boogie. And I was just thinking about Blackbird recently.
Has anybody ever seen this book? There's a page for it at Muppet Wiki, but no cover image.
It's interesting that it was based on the episode where the adult first see Snuffleupagus, but they meet him differently (by chance as opposed to elaborate planning).
Also interesting is that the...
I was thinking yesterday that it would be cool if there was a four-issue series that I would title "the minor characters collection", with each issue focusing on a different semi-obscure character, and heavily featuring other minor characters, in the opening two-page spreads and in many acts...
I know! How about a Muppet game similar to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, maybe titled "Honey, I Shrunk the Muppets!" (or "The Incredible Shrinking Muppets").
The game could begin with video of Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy Gonzo, Scooter, and maybe also Pepe, Rizzo, and Animal havingg a discussion...
Chapter 6
Clifford was sent into a world similar to The Matrix.
"Oh, how weird", said Clifford, who then got electrocuted by a green line. Then some CGI blocks started to fall, but Clifford ran away from them.
"Man, is this Tetris, or is it Columns?", asked Clifford, who ran and...
Chapter 5
Ubu soon sent Kermit and Piggy into a jail cell with six TVs on the wall.
"Well, we are alone", said Piggy, "I guess this isn't a total loss..."
Kermit gulped.
"We have decided to torture you differently than we had planned", said Ubu.
"OH yeah?", said Kermit, "How?"...
Chapter 4
"And now, let's pick what's on the monitors", said Zhondra.
Ubu pressed a button, and the various monitors showed various weird programs.
"Hey, isn't that weird science?", asked Digit, pointing at a monitor which showed a scientist.
"And now I am going to scientiffically...
Chapter 8
The campers were chasing after Melanie, and soon they led her to the edge of a cliff.
"I can't believe that these kids are so devoted to their councilor", said Melanie.
"We've got you cornered!", said Michael.
"You can't excape now", said Kathy.
Sweetums then ran to...
Several clips were added today, including a first season version of The people in Your Neighborhood (with a grocer and a doctor), Ernie talking about shapes, and Ernie talking about his day at the zoo.
It is interesting that around the late 1980s many sketches that invovle Ernie or Bert being without the other were made:
When Bert's Not Here (which is copyrighted 1985, so it might not have had to do with lack of availability from Oz)
Ernie calls Bert who is visiting Bart (Bert's vocie can...
By the way, that letter mentioned that Jim Henson made around 25 shorts for Sesame Street. Muppet Wiki has a sandbox page listing Henson's Sesame Street films, and I've noticed that there are 22 films listed (I think the page is missing Computer #4). That would make 23, only 2 more to go...
Lately, I've noticed that it seems like there were hardly any Bert and Ernie segments produced in the late-1980s. I know there were some produced, but for the mos tpart it seems like there were many solo Ernie skits, especially ones involving Ernie being without Bert. And around that time...
