Muppets From Space is okay. Jeffrey Tambor and Bobo the bear are great in it and there are some funny moments. It's at least more entertaining (but not necessarily better) than Muppets take Manhattan for me, but doesn't come close than the first two. I completely agree with your 'weak yet...

What I meant about VMX is that it was great to see Kermit front & center instead of Gonzo or Rizzo. It's not a great movie, but it's still enjoyable. Honestly, none of the post-Henson muppet movies are great aside from the Muppets and MMW.

Weren't Latifah, Tambor, and Grier just minor characters? Jeffrey Tambor was one of the best parts of Muppets From Space, but his part was really forgettable in this movie. To be honest, I don't remember much about MOZ aside from that it was awful, might have to watch it a second time.

I have to strongly disagree with you there. VMX wasn't amazing, but it brought back some forgotten characters and a good majority of the muppets like Fozzie and Gonzo were in-character after a movie of picking noses and being scared to get their brain sucked out. The songs weren't half-bad...

I understand & respect Oz's opinion, but I feel him not liking the newer stuff is more about personal things than about the quality of the productions. I mean, he only watched 15 minutes of the pilot of a TV show before he reached a verdict that it sucked.

Yes, but if he took part in that movie, where Fozzie was unbearably stupid and his biggest joke was picking his nose, I don't get him complaining about the new stuff. And frankly, the 2015 muppet show did Fozzie right. Not overly stupid, just a well-meaning bear who sometimes gets into trouble...

I was thinking about Frank Oz's interview and how he didn't like muppets 2011 because it was too cute and muppets 2015 because it was too mean. While I respect his opinion, this guy worked on freaking muppets from space, what did he think about that muppet production?

Thread bump If The Grinder could get a DVD release a year after its cancellation, I don't see why the muppets can't. Really don't see the harm in making a quick buck off of burning episodes onto a disc.

Some people don't understand opinions :rolleyes: I think it's a good movie. I agree with what you said. After a while of Gonzo & Rizzo taking center stage, it was a return to form.

So is everyone suddenly hating Muppets 2011? It's weird that initially muppet productions receive critical acclaim on this site, but as time goes on, everyone starts to hate them. Same thing happened with VMX. I thought 'Pictures in my head' was a great song.
