Observation- If you consistently post a chapter or two every day for twenty-six consecutive chapters, and then skip two or three days, no one nags you. Good to know. <Makes a note of that>
I do have reasons, though. You see, the funny thing about writing in the form of torment lines, is that...
Chapter Twenty-Six
"Twenty seconds to curtain, Boss!"
Kermit repeatedly shifted his weight from side to side and grinned a lopsided, edgy sort of grin. "I can't remember the last time I was actually nervous about this," he said to no one in particular.
Suddenly there were silky gloves...
You know something, Beth? I could be mistaken, but I honestly believe that every time I post a new story, you say it's your favorite of mine. I guess that means I'm getting better, right? :p Hugs to you.
Now honestly, what is this? It's not Wednesday, it's Friday. I exist today. Why have I...
Chapter Twenty-Five
Kermit stepped out onto the front porch and took a deep breath of the slightly cooled evening air.
The late evening was among his favorite times of day. It was almost as good as the early morning.
...Actually... It was better.
The late evening included the best...
Chapter Twenty-Four
Kermit grinned at the huge mass of Muppets that lined the curb along the main street of the town, watching the parade. "Gee," he said to Fozzie, "There's so many of us, you'd think we'd be in the parade!"
"Hey, we're crazy enough," Fozzie said. "We'd fit right in!"...
Prawnie, sorry I only just NOW got to finish reading... But I just ADORE it! (Gee what a surprise, huh?) I especially love the singing at the end, and that Prairie gets to be the roof <giggles>, and most of all, Mr. Johnson at the end!
TERRIFIC, Prawnie! <<<<<<<<<<HUGS>>>>>>>>>>
Chapter Twenty-Three
The Frog Scouts were to be picked up from the park at 4:00.
That's 16:00, Kermit prompted himself. He had been home for three weeks now, but he was still very much accustomed to military time.
He walked to the park and decided that he would never tire of seeing so...
Now that is a sweet chapter. A really, very lovely chapter. Exactly what I needed tonight. I love that Kermit is taking such good care of Piggy.
Last line is intriguing. I sure hope to see more soon!
MORE PLEASE!
Well, I felt it presumptuous for us to have full control of the place, but it didn't quite feel right for us to SEE Jerry, so I left him in the kitchen.
Chapter Twenty-Two
"She sure has," Kermit observed.
He was sitting at the counter at Jerry's Pizza Place, watching the show with another frog his age.
"You noticed that, huh?" the other frog said. "In only a week?"
"Well actually it only took me a day to figure it out," Kermit said...
Chapter Twenty-One
She was young and energetic. Her eyes flashed as she pushed her hair back and grinned at the camera. "And now we'd like to welcome to the show a very widely admired celebrity. She's just done it all, I swear. I know I, for one, am a huge fan of hers- I mean really, if I...
Well aren't you folks lucky!
Yes, yes you are, very lucky, my dear friends.
You see, one of the beautiful/annoying things about writing through torment lines is that you lose track of just how long a scene is.
The next two chapters are one scene each. The second scene heavily depends on...
Chapter Twenty
Robin held tight to his uncle's hand as they trudged along the old dirt road. Kermit had been getting quieter and quieter since they had left town. By the time they could see the marsh grasses, he was silent.
They turned off the old dirt road and stopped, looking into the...
