I think the babies are cute, but even I think Palisades should keep them down to a dull roar. Maybe just have babies Kermit and Piggy as they were from the MTM movie. Then, if it takes off, try a few more.
Baby Rowlf
Very much so!:) In fact, I picked up a Baby Rowlf plushie today!:) My roommate got Baby Gonzo.
I'm pleased with how he looks! I think that's the closest a plush has gotten to resembling the actual puppet version of Baby Rowlf!:) That, and his ears are ubersoft..:)
Baby Rowlf
Well, from what I've been seeing and hearing on the board, it looks like JHC is trying to bring Baby Rowlf into the spotlight a little more now...which is a wonderful change, I think!:)
This is true..:) Times like this I wish that Muppet Babies had been a live action show rather than animated. Because Jim Henson would have been more involved, and the personalities would have been better. And Baby Rowlf would have turned out a lot better..because one thing is for sure, the...
Nah, I don't think you're biased. I agree with you, and I'm probably the biggest Muppet Babies fan on the board! I don't think Baby Fozzie's "jokiness" was the problem at hand however. Granted, he did go over the top at times, but I think his biggest problem was that they made him too stupid...
Excellent point, Fozzie!:)
I think what they should have done was make him interested in books. There was never really a character that loved books or stories. And Baby Rowlf never had any sense of humour! He was always the most intolerent Baby when it came to Baby Fozzie's jokes.
They could...
Sweet!!! It's about time someone paid attention to him!:) That shirt is SO mine!
As for Fozzie's comments, I see what you mean. In fact, after I posted my initial post something occurred to me. With the other Muppets, baby versions of them are easy because they're already wild and crazy...
Okay, I'm sure you guys have heard my whimperings as of late. With the Muppet Babies coming into the spotlight again, we're seeing the puppets used again, and there's new merchandise that's starting to emerge. But the thing that has me a little miffed is that they've been focusing on either...
Awww, cute!! they fiunally brought the puppet versions out of retirement!:) In the meantime, it boils down the the same point I've been making recently: Where's Baby Rowlf?!
LOL! That would be awesome: The Babies as ravers!!:) that give me a cool idea! They could make Muppet Babies brand Nanny-striped socks, too!:) That would be cool!
No, but they have all these baby books out now and they're really pushing the infant toy line and thus the Babies aren't recognizable from the Babies we grew up with. Good god, they even changed the Muppet Babies logo!!
:sympathy:
I dunno...I thought the Hasbro baby Piggy was adorable!:)
I recently gave all my Muppet Babies away to my friend who's a huge Muppet fan and wants to restore them. The only one I have left though is my Baby Rowlf that I got off ebay a couple of years ago..he was from England and looks like...
