Actually, the trivia question answer is wrong. Gonzo was supposed to play the minister, until a real minister was brought in (upon seeing the minister, Kermit briefly whispers "I thought Gonzo was going to play the minister!", and the comic book adaptation actually has a scene where Gonzo says...
Here's an entry on the bicycle sequence in the Great Muppet Caper:

So we finally know how they did the scene with Kermit and Miss Piggy riding in circles (which Jim Henson once said was so complicated we'd have to figure it out on our own)...
I found this on YouTube:

It's odd enough that FYE supposedly sold Muppet Babies DVDs (I thought DVDs were only included with Muppet Babies plush), but there is a Dr. Teeth clip that appears. It looks like it's from the 1980s, but I...
I wonder if there was a minimum requirement of street scenes/new content for each episode. The first few seasons often repeated the exact same segments two or three times (it seems episode 179 repeats most of the same non-Muppet content in the second half). Though it seems it was just the letter...
That scene has made it to a TV commercial recently located online (and the still is at Muppet Wiki), and there is an empty arch where Timmy should be. I would have thought all those monsters were physically there (the arches don't look CGI to me in that shot), unless they just digitally removed one.
Some of this information doesn't quite add up (maybe I should discuss it in the "facts that don't add up" thread). It's been said that Baby Monster was around in one of the earliest seasons, and then was put in storage for many years until they came up with the idea for the Elmo character (and...
There is a review of Elmo's Music Magic already online, and it turns out What I Am is just a bonus feature (I wonder if it counts among the 13 songs then, though I think the review mentioned it has 14 songs). Still no sign of whether it'll have any classics, but it will have Bert and Ernie's...
Elmo has had his name as early as season 12. A season 12 press release described Elmo as a character who talks in sounds (though obviously there are early segments where he speaks full sentences, perhaps from before he became Elmo). Brian Meehl has an official website, and I e-mailed him shortly...
Regarding Murray Has a Little Lamb, it seems that segment has been dropped since last season.
According to the 40th anniversary book, the writers and producers didn't think Journey to Ernie was "Sesame enough".
At first I wondered if maybe it was another moth.
I just rewatched the Muppets trailers and watched Sweetums closely, and it seems it's that way in the movie too, though in those clips it's harder to see.
Anybody notice that Sweetums' eyebrows seem to be a little different? Previously it seems his eyebrows were one piece, but now it seems to be seperated into two pieces.
The trailer that appears before the recent Winnie the Pooh movie shows a recreation of that shot (it's the only scene not in other trailers that sticks out in my mind), and it just shows four monsters, no Timmy.
I guess we shouldn't expect so many full-bodied characters... But I actually am a...
One thing I noticed is that this video doesn't even try to be similar to any version of the opening. It's all it's own version of the theme. The closest to resembling a theme is the pyramid at the end, which reminds me a bit of the risers in the first season theme, but isn't similar enough.
I...
Right now, there's a song stuck in my head, and I'm trying to figure out the title and singer. There aren't really any full lyrics I can remember/ understand well enough.
It seems to go "Nothing in the world can...." something something "Nothing in the world can" something "I love you"...
