John Kennedy uses fuzzy with balls, i use foam that I sculp and coat in scult or coat.

I would do what jcnegron suggested but highlight the stitch with dark shade of tan, in chalk.

If your wanting to make a open scar I would paint it on using red Brown and black paint. i wouldn't cut it, it may widen and show more foam than you want

Use what ever you got! some say reticulated foam wich is probably better to work with but I don't have a supplier close by so I use aploshstery foam, foam I can get at a Fabric store. I would think that Reticulated would be more Breathable, and lite due to it's more porus nature. For me...
