The Muppets After The Muppets - episode 6: Thog Off!

Act 4 Bunsen and Beaker went into the prop room. “Here’s the unicycle he fell off”, said Bunsen, “we’ll convert it to be unable to fall over.” Cut to later, Beaker was on top of the unicycle, all nervous. “Here we go, Beaker!”, said Bunsen, pushing a button which made the unicycle move but...

The Muppets After The Muppets - episode 6: Thog Off!

Act 3 Kermit and the head censor were in the control room. “Well, we’ve got safe programming”, said the head censor. “But our ratings are dropping”, said Kermit. “What’ll we do? What’ll we do???”, panicked Nigel. Johnny Fiama popped up. “Why don’t you give me a number?”, said Johnny. “But...

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

Something I don't quite understand: Has Iron Monster been rereleased? I know it was a Target exclusive back in 2010, then had a wide release in january 2011... But it seems to have been rereleased again. Last week Sesame Workshop's Facebook page promoted it as if it were new, there's been a few...

The Muppets After The Muppets - episode 6: Thog Off!

Act 2 Thog was walking around the Muppet Studios backlot, saying goodbye to all the rides. “Goodbye, Pigs in Space ride”, said Thog, “Goodbye, water fountain.” “You don’t have to do this”, said Sweetums, “since you resigned and therefore can’t be fired, the censors are taking over.” “Yeah”...

"MAN OR MUPPET" Nominated for Best Original Song OSCAR!

I read that too, where it said that they limited the number of songs per movie to just one just because three songs from Enchanted were nominated and lost, which seems ridiculous. Enchanted had the advantage and still lost... If it was the other way around it'd make more sense. And why do the...

Can we get the "Ignore Member" feature back?

I've always wondered about the "ignore member" thing. Do those who get ignored get alerted that they are being ignored? And what if the ignored person answers a very important question that the one who hit the ignore button had asked (and others don't answer again because they saw it was...

Your Thoughts: The Muppets Original Soundtrack

I am a little indifferent on the short dialogue tracks. At first I wondered why they didn't just make them parts of the tracks they introduce (and I still feel they should have done that, especially with Let's Talk About Me, Man or Muppet?, and The Whistling Caruso). I think it's good that they...

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

Back in 1998 there was no blu-ray. Laserdisc was dying, and DVD didn't have much media competition. Yeah, they'd continue making VHS for about 8 years, but those didn't have bonus features like DVDs did, and the only other competition (I recall reading about a few different kinds of disc media...

Where's the love for Rocky and Bullwinkle?

Against my best judgement I bought a copy of the movie on DVD, though it did turn out a little better than I remembered it (I hadn't seen it since 2001). It seems the opening sequence, taking place in the animated world, is very clever, for the most part (though the part with Bullwinkle...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I hate the new design layout. I tried it a few months ago and then went back to the old layout, but then I learned that all channels will automatically switch sometime soon so I just switched back to the new one. I can't write much about my channel this way (on the old layout I included a list...

The MuppetCast: End of an Era

Although I kept up with The MuppetCast (and the Henson Company Podcast) each week when I first got my ipod, in the last year or two I've only listened to a handful of episodes due to complicated iTunes problems (I've listened to them on the site itself). But I must ask: Did Steve ever complete...

    The Muppet Mindset

I don't know if you're aware of this, Ryan, but there is something on facebook that I think needs to be addressed on the site: https://apps.facebook.com/sesamestreetcontest/viewallentries?viewallurl=%2Fcontests%2Fviewallentriesincontest%2F7691 It's an opportunity for fans to vote for clips for...

Have all episodes of Sesame Street survived?

While I doubt any full episodes were erased, I'd like to say that if they did destroy master tapes, they sure do seem to have kept many from the first ten years, considering all the early episodes that were shown on Noggin and later iTunes (and it's not just the really important episodes that...

    Sesamestreet.org relaunches for Season 39

It's "Take a Bath Day" with Ernie. And I don't quite remember this day (and don't feel like going back to every post to see if it had been on the site before). And Ernie references the "banana in ear" segment, by telling Rubber Duckie "I can't hear ya. I've got bubbles in my ear."

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

And there was no blu-ray release of that, so of course the DVD had many bonus features. A few have remarked about the poor selection of features for the 2005 movie DVD releases, and those haven't even been on blu-ray yet (blu-ray as well as HD discs were just being invented and available at...

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

Well I recently bought the Target exclusive DVD "Singing with the Stars", mainly to fill the sketch listing at Muppet Wiki (only to find the listing was complete before I watched it) and out of hope that it'd include some classic guest star segments (it doesn't). Many of the segments included...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 42

I recently saw a clip with Robin Williams and the Two-Headed Monster, and noticed that, with his beard, Robin Williams looks like Jerry Nelson.

New fun but addicting muppet game on muppets.com

It would be great if there were more characters to find (maybe unlockable), but it is cool that it includes characters like Thog, Mahna Mahna, and the Snowths. I do find it odd that they put Statler and Waldorf in seperate locations.
