I wonder if it'd be too much for them to do a story in which a Muppet character becomes ill and the only way to cure the illness is with a rare item found only in one location. Perhaps it could be something like a rainforrest which the villian wants to tear down.
Yeah, I know, the movie might...
I don't know, but I think I've read about the show having a story with a title like "The story of Inez and... (another I name, can't remember)". Or maybe Inez got second billing.
Or maybe you're misremembering the use of the word "idiot", though I don't doubt it was used in the past (perhaps...
That's good to know. Sometimes I wonder if I'm going too far by posting each new week and their hosts without much more to add.
And I just now remember that I forgot to mention this week's "day"... It's "Going Green Day" with Elmo.
If the Muppets do do a "Mad Mad World"-style movie, I'll be surprised if it's the next film. It's confirmed that it'll have some sort of "connective tissue" to the last film, so I assume that means they'll all know each other already, and I feel like such a film would require many of the Muppets...
Maybe they can check this thread and consider the stuff that many of us here have suggested (like giving The Electric Mayhem their own number).
Somebody suggested not having one main villian, and that might be a good idea. Maybe two or three seperate villians who are not associated with each...
Well, The Jim Henson Company helped the fans know the names by having them included in that coloring book! :D
Actually, for a long time I kind of did wonder. Over the years I thought it strange and pointless that characters would get proper names (as opposed to their official names being...
I've been watching some of the Upsedaisium storyline, and noticed in one chapter, Boris looks in a "Crook Book" for a recipe with the written phrase "Guaranteed to succeed..." but then after failing they turn the page to see the rest of the sentence, "...to fail miserably". But I noticed that...
Well, one of the Tough Pigs people attended a publicity event for Nick Stoller's new movie The Five-Year Engagement last night, and learned a few things about the Muppets sequel:
Walter will be in it.
There wll be some "connective tissue" to the previous film (if that means what I think it...
Reading the reviews, I find it a shame that they didn't include Clifford, since Kevin Clash was obviously there to perform Elmo.
Cool that the Here Come the Muppets pre-show was screened. I recently learned that the behind-the-scenes footage of Jim performing Rowlf seen in The Muppets...
A few have said they wouldn't want the next film to include the theater since it was in the last movie. But I associate the theater with The Muppet Show. Including the theater wouldn't make it a direct sequel to The Muppets or It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie. Also, both movies that...
(1) What would you like to see as the plot in the new Muppet "comedy caper" type film?
I'd like to see a plotline that involves the Muppet theater. Perhaps the Muppets could get a big celebrity who turns out to be the villian in some way, using his celebrity status to manipulate the world or...
I don't see what's wrong with chasing back to watching the older DVDs over and over again. How many of us here haven't rewatched the older Muppet DVDs after seeing the recent movie?
I wonder if they put it in there because of the movie. The "which may or may not be fictional" part of the description sounds like somethign they'd do on The Simpsons or Family Guy.
Come to think of it, I have the blu-ray of Ernest Goes to Jail, and the Touchstone Pictures logo does not...
You know, it's been three months since The Treasure of Peg-Leg Wilson was rereleased, these reprints seem to be coming out three months apart, the announcements don't seem to come out too far in advance, and The Four Seasons will begin coming out in three months (counting this month)... It...
There's a website called http://thatfellowinthecoat.com which includes many videos of reviews for movies (much like That Guy with the Glasses). One series on that website, Vaulting (found when looking under "other shows" and then "Morgan's videos"... By the way, the same Morgan uploaded all the...
Was it the Fraggle Rock VHS promo for the Jim Henson Video releases, where it was pretty much just the opening with an announcer talking at the beginning? Or were there other promos, for other releases? I doubt there were any promos for the HBO Video releases, but if there were I'd like to see...
Something has just hit me: How celebrity-heavy will this one be? The previous film was very celebrity-heavy, as was The Muppet Movie, but The Great Muppet Caper only had a handful of celebrity cameos.
