Wow....it's been 2 months since I posted this thread.....
Well......We're Done! And we're very happy with the finished showcase and everyone at the school really likes it as well. Club members have heard people say "why are there puppets at our school?" and that always makes me smile....but...
I found this site saying that a japanese company is going to be renting out their animatronic suits and the first one availiable is a panda. It's pretty interesting
This is the site I read it on
http://www.pinktentacle.com/2006/06/animatronic-panda-suit-for-rent/
And here is the official...
Sweet! Yea!
I loved this show!....it aired in the US....
I used to live in downtown Chicago and I remember at FAO Schwartz when I was 4 or 5 they had a lot of the Dudley plushes and a variety of them. I liked the standing version more than the sitting one but when I was 12 I bought one off of...
I don't think they ever Really quite down all the way....because if you watch behind the scenes of animatronic movies you can still hear the clicking....
but I would guess that you would be able to muffle the noise once you start putting material on.....
I just found this episode on Google Video
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1433418923019766221&q=Eureeka%27s+Castle
It was my first time watching it. I had Fun.....Noel McNeal sort of moves him like Big Bird at times I think,..so thats Cool....I was wondering...thats just a LARGE half...
I bet....you could pull a Sydney Pollock and get so attached to the fur for the project...and sleep on it for a few days.....I bet that would work.....but probably wouldn't be much fun....
Thats Cool!....I like this a lot!
I like the second link...the one with animatronic eyes....I had found that site a couple of years ago and was interested in the eyes...but didn't have any money and stopped going to it....
But now they have Hands!...and thats exactly what I'm looking for...
A few of those things are complete on YouTube.....and depending on if you have the browser firefox or use a Macintosh Computer and use Safari....you can take them off youtube and put them into Mpeg format.
I like the plastic tubs more than suit cases.......mainly because if I'm tired while transporting the puppets &/or want to protect them.......I can sit on the tub.....
.....and suit cases would probably squish.....
My tub is a large 4ft x 2ft and can fit 9-10 small puppets and 5 larger puppets
Hi guys,
This isn't really an update on this project (although I did get the feet on the other guy all done)
No, I am just going to post some videos I did...and uploaded onto youtube.
These videos have nothing to do with the Puppetry Club....it's just me (Chase)
This started out as just a...
Alright, here's another update
I figured out how to do the mouth...its hard to explain so I have pics...basically its two "D" shapes tied together in the middle and then glued down onto the mouth plates. The mouth does close to a point (not all the way) but....it can open wider and stay that...
Here's mine!

I think I'm going to pose him for awhile up in my room on a small chair....until I get a glass case for him....or...I could keep him in the...
I dunno.....all of the walking was sort of awkward and a lot of the eye contact was off it seemed.....so maybe it was that one removable feather.
Also, as BB was leaving Howie sort of wispered "this way" or "Here" or something and it looked to me as if he was guiding him towards the stairs....
