The other day I asked my dad how long the internet has been around. I think he said that it has been around for quite a while, but it was only used by the government long before it was available to the rest of us.
It makes sense that Big Bird's stocking is hung at Gordon and Susan's place, but why is Cookie Monster's? I've always wondered about that. Doesn't he have his own apartment? We've seen his family.
Thanks for those kind words, Prawnie. They truly meant a lot to me as does your friendship. There is so much more to say, but I am saving it for a later time. :)
Aside from the voice, Gonzo's look has changed more and more over the years to. I basically think of this as him getting older and maturing. I mean, when the Muppet Show started he was just this scrawny little kid and between then and Muppet Christmas Carol I think he has matured and become...
I am proud to say that I pretty much placed my order the day I found out about the Sesame line last summer. I have come across places online to pre-order S2, but I won't do that until I see some sample pics just incase.
"The Rainbow Connection" is probably my favorite song of all time. It is a tune that is very close to me. I just recently found the mp3 recording of the version he sang with a young Raven Symone on the Muppets Go to Disney World special. It is so wonderfully touching the whole thing, but all...
I like "Put Down the Duckie" a lot! I think it is what Hoots is best known for. Was this one of his first appearances, anyone know? Anyway...I think the first time I heard it was actually on a tape my mom bought me. I loved it. I love how they used Hoots to sing good advice to other...
Actually Minor Muppetz is right. Prairie was there just without lines. I remember now. Still, it would have been more appropriate for Prairie to be a part of the Sesame Street pageant. Fran Brill was probably just not available to perform her.
As for the Telly thing, I meant that at the...
Yeah, Telly still could have been there even without lines. I was just pointing out how it is obvious Robinson wasn't there due to the lack of Telly. Telly has always been his principal character. If he didn't work on the special they are less likely to think of having Telly appear. Oh...
Yeah, I wonder where Martin Robinson was during that special. I can understand why Snuffy wouldn't be there since he is so big he wouldn't have been able to get inside the house with everyone. However, Telly wasn't even there either. Maybe Robinson had a conflict during shooting or something...
Does the apartment building open up and does it have four little sections for (I think) Hooper's Store, Ernie and Bert's room, a kitchen, and something else? Is there an Oscar that pops up if you push a little button on the sidewalk? I have that playset.
The "guy" was Doc and he is from Fraggle Rock. He didn't live with Fozzie's mom, he was renting out the place for Christmas. And as far as his acting goes, I think it was fine for this particular show. Doc was always great! Hope this helps.
PS--you loved that Chef was going to kill Big...
I have faith in this line, but just incase it only ends up being a few sets, Palisades is smart enough to know which guys to jet out to complete things. Your "Big must list" is similar to mine plus a few. For me, the musts are Big Bird (he has to be there no matter what), Ernie, Bert, Grover...
And to add to what I have already said, I would love MFC even MORE if I had the unedited version, but that's okay. i barely remember the cut scenes anyway, but whenever I listen to the song by Fozzie and Snowman I feel like I am missing something great. In any case, it is still the best Muppet...
Bry: Wow, been a long day.
Big Bird: How did your geology test go, Bryan?
Bry: It was okay. Not as bad as I expected. Let's just hope the next three won't be much harder. You all have a good day? Sorry I couldn't play much.
Rosita: That's okay.
Snuffy: Yeah, we were busy too.
Big...
I agree. Patience is key. There has already been a response from SW regarding the possibility of DVD releases of the classic material and it seems like they are willing to do it at some point, just not now. There are plenty of factors that go into a project like that that has nothing to do...
