I live in California, but I haven't seen the special air for years. It would be nice if they did, but only if it was the full version. I have the (editted) vhs copy so I can watch it whenever I want.
Dick Van Dyke is one of the last of the great American entertainers and show men. He has always been one of my favorites as a performer and human being. Such a wonderful spirit and sense of humor that keeps him seeming so much younger than he is. He was my hero in Mary Poppins and I hope to...
Keep in mind that both actors, Kermit Love and Chet O'Brien, were on the production crew of Sesame Street. Love (Willy) was a puppet designer/builder and O'Brien (Macintosh) was the floor manager and they were given small roles on the show. I don't think they were ever meant to be very...
Yeah, I don't see any logical reason why they can't still air the special. So what if it has Mr. Hanford in it instead of Alan? It just shows the history. Would kids really get confused? They may as well not watch Follow That Bird then either.
I only have a small number of Sesame Street ornaments, but they are beautiful. I wish I could post pics of them here somehow.
I have:
1 Elmo
2 Big Birds
1 Ernie
1 Bert
1 Oscar
1 Cookie Monster
and an ornament that features a group of characters.
Big Bird: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
Everywhere you go.
Take a look at the five and ten
Glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes a glow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in every store
But the prettiest site to see
Is the holly that will...
She wasn't ever canned. Maybe they just mean she has been in the spotlight more in the last 10 years than before. I'm not exactly sure why they say "brought back" either because she never left. One thing that has left is her piano and I wish she would play it more often.
What a fun idea. Unfortunately I would not be able to enter because our family Christmas Tree has more than just Muppet stuff on it. But if this does happen, I look forward to seeing other people's art.
Its pretty cool. I am hearing some songs that I either have never heard before or haven't heard in a long time. The one bad part about it right now is they have replayed a couple songs about 3 times in the last hour. I dunno how many songs are in the rotation but its still great anyway...
Currently, it is the theme line from Christmas Eve On Sesame Street that is sung by Gordon at the end of the show. It kinda goes with my avator too.
"And if that isn't a true blue miracle, I don't know what one is."
That's right! You can listen to some of your favorite Sesame Street tunes online. Go to this link:

Bry: That was a great movie.
Big Bird: Aww yeah!
Baby Bear: The Santa Cwause is one of my all time favowits! Besides, it sure beats being torchewed by a cwazy head in the hallway. Is that normal awound heow?
Bry: No, not usually. I mean, this can be a weird place, but generally are...
We could do the ol' "Tar and Feather" but we only do that to teenagers who pose as the elderly and fake his own death. Not that anyone really does that.
