(All in bed in room 29)
Telly: Bryan?
Bry: Yes, Telly?
Telly: What is a whiskey and rye?
Bry: (opening eyes) A what?
Telly: It was in that song about the pie we sang today. "Drinking whiskey and rye". What does it mean?
Big Bird: (sitting in his nest with Radar) Hey, yeah. What...
Well, it was certainly filmed in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, hence the title Rocky Mountain Holiday and also one of John Denver's most famous hits "Rocky Mountain High".
I also liked his introduction in the Muppet Movie. It was really a beautiful scene between the 2 characters. I think of all the Classic Muppet gang, Rowlf has the deepest and most sensitive soul. Probably one of the most well-rounded/developed of the characters.
There might not have been a lot of room for all those big characters and they probably only wanted to use Big Bird. However, if they were going to have more, they may as well have had Snuffy show up.
Telly: (Waking up) What's that noise?
Bry: Huh?
Big Bird: There are people outside.
Bry: I guess the barbecue is still going on.
Telly: You told us to go to bed.
Bry: Well, I didn't realize it would be happening all weekend. I figured the party would be ending at some point last...
Big Bird: (dancing) Oh this is fun!
Telly: Yeah! Hey, maybe we can do some triangle dancing next!
Big Bird: Triangle dancing?
Telly: You heard me! Haha!
Hoots: And now to sing an ode to the Letter of the Day, here are two of the hippest blue guys on Sesame Street Herry and Cookie Monster!!
Herry: Hey, Cookie Monster! What letter is that that goes up, down, up, down?
Cookie: That the letter "M", Herry.
Herry: Hmmmm...
Cookie: And the...
I dunno if I posted this already, but I once had a dream where I was visitting the Sesame Street set and I found out that Martin Robinson had died. And then I meet Frank Oz who tells me that Martin wanted ME to have Telly. He gave me the Telly Monster puppet. It was crazy. I woke up thinking...
I never really thought about the way they performed the Two Headed Monster, but I guess that explains why Jerry's half always looked a little more awkward than normal.
Big Bird: Have a birdseed cookie, Cookie Monster.
Cookie: (eats a cookie) Ooh! That delicious! (smacking lips)
Rosita: Hola, Bryan.
Bry: Hey, Rosita. Enjoying yourself?
Rosita: Oh yeah. Say, whatever happened to Baba and all those guys that used to live with him? Haven't seen them...
