Does Sesame Street still air classic segments?

Sega had a deal with CTW? I had no idea. I know Sega released one Sesame Street video game but that's all I know of. And if it was made for the show, I'd expect them to be able to show it again (even if they don't), even if they'd need to negotiate to put it on DVD or sesamestreet.org.

    Questions about anything

Does Nintendo still make new games for the Nintendo Wii, or are existing Wii games just still in print (assuming all the Wii games I see in stores are not just unsold stock from a few years ago)?

    TV Tropes

Is there a trope for characters hated/disliked/despised by the creator, particularly ones who became a lot more popular than the creators would have liked? Are there enough examples? I know there's Charles Schultz disliking Pig Pen, Walt Disney hated Goofy and each year would threaten to drop...

New Muppets Interstitial Series on Disney Junior 2015

I wonder if Sam will tolerate things the kids say and do better than he does with the Muppets. Will he look down on them or be disgusted by them? Will his attitude be more like his attitude in Sex and Violence, where he seemed to have a "whatever" attitude towards the weirdness? Or will Sam...

New Muppets Interstitial Series on Disney Junior 2015

It's just a shame that Animal is the only member of The Electric Mayhem to be included here. I wonder if all of these will be Muppet interactions with kids, or if any will just have the Muppets.

What Muppet Fans Are Thinking About

For years I thought about the fact that Bunsen and Beaker seem to have become a bit more major in the early 1990s after the passings of Jim Henson and Richard Hunt which led to Rowlf, Scooter, and most of the Electric Mayhem being reduced to minor roles, wondering if part of that had to do with...

Major Changes in store for Sesame Street Season 46

It would be great if certain segments could just be featured certain days of the week (though that'd be a little hard when there's 26 episodes a season, and also when the show normally only has a new episode on Thursdays). Like Abby's Flying Fairy School on Mondays, Cookie's Crumby Pictures on...

    The Muppets New Theater

Chapter 4 Solid Foam was about to practice. "Okay, let's practice", said Beard. "Yeah man", mumbled Flash. "Wait, I can't find my drum sticks", said the drummer. They've got to be around here somewhere", said Clifford. But as everyone was looking away in search of the drum...

    The Muppets New Theater

Chapter 3 Scooter arrived at the new theater, along with Kermit and a number of other Muppets. "So, this is it", said Kermit, observing that this new theater needed to be cleaned-up and repaired. "I'll work on it", said Beauregard. "But you're still working at the old...

    The Muppets New Theater

Chapter 2 Kermit and Scooter were discussing their new situation. "So we have two jugbands", said Kermit, "which one would you like at your theater?" "Hmm", thought Scooter, "which one would you like me to have?" "Well, neither of them have really made it", said Kermit. "Maybe I...

    The Muppets New Theater

This idea is inspired by an idea I recently posted about in a thread about Henson-related video games. I'm making the idea into a fan fic. But no, I'm not going to deliberately write it in a way that would be easily translatable for a video game (if it looks video game-structured, it's a...

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

One thing that I know I've occasionally mentioned here in recent years is that ever since the 30th season, I usually feel a bit sad when an anniversary season ends and the first post-anniversary season begins. But with very little official celebration for the 45th anniversary, I probably won't...

Potential new Cookie Monster segment in development

Wow, this thread has been here for quite some time, and I hadn't noticed it until now, after seeing the thread about Sesame Street getting some new changes (and I think it was mentioned there that there'd be a new Cookie Monster segment). I wonder, if this is replaced, if past segments will...

Does Sesame Street still air classic segments?

Besides the fact that the show doesn't show old material anymore (and I'm not sure if they even show fullframe material anymore), there clearly aren't any issues regarding Kermit the Frog appearances. We've gotten quite a few Sesame Street DVDs since 2004 (not to mention 2000, when Henson sold...

    Henson Rarities on Youtube

I guess I can think about a few things, besides what I heard being incorrect. Maybe Disney changed its policy between your Star Wars uploads and when I read about the no block policy (or vice versa). Or maybe it's a third party rights or distribution thing (depending on whether you were told...

Major Changes in store for Sesame Street Season 46

I've never really been able to comprehend the change in Hooper's Store from season 40. The 40th anniversary book says that the old Hooper's Store represents a time that's no longer relevant, but I don't see it. I feel like there are restaurants (at least local ones) that aren't too different...

"I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story" documentary in development

The trailer has footage of Jim Henson talking about Caroll Spinney at some kind of party or event. In Spinney's autobiography, he mentions that Jim Henson threw him a party once to celebrate his tenth or fifteenth season on the show. I wonder if that footage comes from that party.

    The Muppet Mindset

Whatever's coming up, I hope we get an official announcement soon. I assume they were talking about upcoming productions/appearances and not, say, the Diamond Select figures (would they be in a position to know of secret upcoming merchandise?). But most of this years Muppet news has been...

    Little things we've noticed

I think that's happened a number of times. They reused the same audience shots many times, regardless of whether anybody in the audience or orchestra pit are on-stage. Though I don't know off-hand of any other instances where that has happened. Well he was still wearing clothes.
