The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years was broadcast by CBS on January 21, 1986. I think they show it on Odyssey now.
What about the montage of clips that Robin introduces when he says that sometimes the Muppets aren't funny? I can only remember "For What It's Worth" in this montage.
And...
You LIKE the Muppet Music sequence, Byron? I know how much you LOVE Janice! I like the Muppet Music sequence, too, namely "Rubber Duckie", "Mahna Mahna", and Bobby Benson and the All-Baby Band, as well as the rest of this scene.
Do any of you guys like the Eating and Explosions sequence set...
Here are my ideas:
I've Got Two Legs: Sung by a veddy British chap who also dances.
Everything is Beautiful: Sung by three Whatnots resembling Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff, with Boppity, Gloat, and Uncle Deadly on backup, along with Svengali (Peter Ustinov ep.) on pipe...
Wow, mikealan, you SOITANLY DO know about Unpaved! Shame I have been missing it because our TV is no longer hooked up.
Now, do you know what AMs they used in Goin' For a Ride? Please try to describe what they looked like if possible.
Thanks for your help!
BlueAM
"It's a wonderful life...
THANKS VERY, VERY, VERY MUCH, GORGON HEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, do you know if Big Mary Louise, Rowlf, and the guy with the same head as Marvin Suggs were in the German band in "The Old Bull and Bush"?
I'd like to thank you for your help!
BlueAM
"Yes, Prince Mishkin, what can we do for you?"
Thanks a whole LOT, Gorgon Heap! You are SUCH a TMS wizard!
Now, can you remember what the Englishman and the two women from "Dog Walk" looked like? Since they were obviously Whatnots, can you name a character or two they shared their heads with?
Thanks!
BlueAM
"The children of the...
Anyway, can you describe what kinds of Whatnots the members of the German band from "The Old Bull and Bush" were? Can you name any particular characters that these Whatnots shared their heads with? They obviously wore German band clothes, but could you please describe what their costumes were...
I also forgot Jerome (that little AM boy who joined the Grouchketeers that Jerry Nelson performed) on my lavender hand and rod puppet list.
Here are some more Muppets who are the lavender live hands kind other than the Count, Countess von Backwards, Countess Dahling von Dahling, Mumford, Sam...
I was thinking about asking those UK Skit questions myself!
Now anyway, Gorgon Heap, I heard that there were two veddy British chaps in "Obladi-Oblada" in the Hal Linden ep. Can you remember what they looked like? I think they were in the Carol Burnett episode too, (i.e. one of them was Zelda...
As you guys know, I LOVE THE ANYTHING MUPPETS!!!!!!!!!
So far, here are all the Muppets who are the lavender kind that I know of:
Herbert Birdsfoot
Polly Darton
Sinister Sam (I think he was lavender)
Vern (the only one of the Readers of the Open Range with a name)
Pinocchio
Cinderella...
I'm considering making a list of SS Muppets who have Anything Muppet heads with the help of all you guys at this forum. What I'd like to do is get an accurate way for all of us to describe the colors of the AMs. Namely, I'm confused by lavender and purple. Which color would you say that...
Ya know, I just watched MFC on video and I LOVED your work on that special!
The only characters I know you performed in that special are:
Gladys
Zoot
The Deer
Can you recall who else you performed in that special? It's obvious that you also performed various monsters, rats, chickens...
I really, really LOVE the 30th Anniversary Special!
So, who are your favorite characters?
Mine are Yorick, Crazy Harry, the Count, Ernie and Bert, Fozzie, Grover, and Scooter!
And what are your favorite scenes?
Mine are:
Ernie taking off Bert's nose (It reminds me of when Daffy Duck's...
Drtooth, I do believe that that "famous tennis player" was Martina Navratilova. My mom taped me that special when I was little.
Also, does anyone know what Dickie Tick looks like? (All I know is is that he's purple.)
And does anyone know what Nick Normal and the Nickmatics looked like...
I thought I'd post this message because it's that time of year again.
So I was just wondering:
1. Who are your favorite characters in MFC?
I would have to say the Snowman and the Turkey, among dozens more.
2. What are your favorite scenes?
Mine would be the following:
All the crowd...
My mom remembers these AM bits more than I do. So do ALL of you guys agree with my descriptions of the characters from the Newsflashes?
And I feel that there was a picture of the AMs from "Consider Yourself" in a record or something. What do you guys think?
By the way, Oliver was one of my...
That outline of yours is guh-REAT! I like the Electric Mayhem singing "Love Power". I could picture Floyd on vocals. LOL
Here are some ideas for the "At the Dance" scene:
FEMALE WHATNOT IN BAVARIAN DRESS: Is it true that you love me?
MALE WHATNOT( looks like LSD in The Producers movie): I...
I think that was George Washington's Father, actually.
And also, I heard that in their first appearance, the AMs sang "Consider Yourself", from Oliver (which Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy did with the whole gang on TMS, too). The first Gordon put their faces on. Now, do you know what...
Some more questions, Ryan:
What did the AM from Lulu's Back In Town look like?
What did the AM from Co-operation Makes It Happen look like? (All I know is that he had shades and a leather jacket)
And for all of you, I want to say what I think some particular Newsflash stars look like...
