I don't think we were ever meant to know. I think it was supposed to be part of this child-like view of adults. The "muppet-like" adults were always shown, but "human" adults we only ever saw their arms and legs. To be at the level of the kids, you know? Hope that makes sense.
Hmm.. I think Uncle Matt was so used to being in "Outer Space," coming back home was a frustrating experience for him because everything had changed. I think he even found "Outer Space" to be superior in some ways (I remember his line "This is nothing compared to a used car lot at sunset"). But...
Baby Fraggles come from the Radish patch, of course! ;) Wait, sorry, my bad. They didn't even know about radishes until Uncle Matt found them :P
I always assumed the "fab 5" were in their mid to late teens. If they were kids then I don't think they'd go off and live alone in "apartments" and...
I admit I'm afraid of the characters in Dark Crystal - I saw it once and I won't see it again!
I know there's a muppet I'm forgetting (probably one of the monsters) but generally I'm more nervous about "dummy" puppets. Oh, and that hand puppet from Mr. Rogers. She is seriously creepy...
Hey, I played the NES, too ;) Didn't have an Atari but I know the NES took many an hour from my life. My sister and cousins were crazy for Super Mario, I can still recall playing that game at my grandma's house and finally beating Bowser.
I just figured there was probably a number of people...
I got a DS for Christmas, and admittedly I haven't really been playing it. I only have two games and I'm bored with them XD I hope to get my hands on Mario Kart DS soon, though. It'll bring back memories of when I played Super Mario Kart as a kid (yeah, I'm just that old).
Speaking of Super...
When I watch old tapes of what my dad recorded for my sister and I in the 80s, the commercials become a PART of the experience, you know? Like, watching a Christmas special - it's not the same unless you see an ad for "My First Sony" or "Krispy Kritters cereal" (or is it with a "C"? Can't...
My Saturdays were great - I'd get up at 6 am with a bowl of Cheerios or Kix (my mom never let me have the sugary stuff :/) and watch Looney Tunes. After that it was Muppet Babies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, etc. and around 11 am or noon I'd go over to a friend's house and watch Saved By The Bell ;D...
What, no love for Doc? He's adorable, and the grandfather I wish I'd had :D
-Red - She gets some of the funniest lines, is strong and doesn't feel she has to act girly or how other Fraggles might think she should. Very much an individual. I always pair her up with Gobo because I'm weird ;) I...
I don't think I even watched FR when it first aired (wasn't it an HBO thing or something?) - so I completely missed the boat. If I saw it in reruns or on a tape after, I honestly don't remember.
So, the first episode I saw was the first episode of the first DVD of the first set... assuming :)
The Great Muppet Caper is my favorite, along with Christmas Carol, but if I had to chose, TI is OK, too. Actually, I think I meant Christmas Carol when I wrote that. I'm kinda out of it today.
I guess I want something with the "early maturity" and isn't too gimmicky/parody/childish-y. I hope...
As long as we can get something as golden as Muppet Treasure Island, I will be happy :)
But please, nothing like In Space or Wizards of Oz (I really didn't care for those).
