Ernie: (is heading out the door carrying a big box) Bye, Bert!
Bert: Ernie, where are you going with that box?
Ernie: Oh, well I heard that Ed has been missing a few letters. So, I've got the whole alphabet in this box for him to barrow. See you later, Bert!
Hi! Cookie Monster works the same way such characters as Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, and Fozzie work. One performer works the left hand and head (while also providing the voice), and a second performer operates the right hand. Hope this clears things for you.
(the roomies of 29 are staring at Kathy's walker)
Bry: So what do you want to do with this?
Ernie: I have an idea!
Bry: Yes, Ernie?
Ernie: How about we each contribute one or two things to decorate it and then we pass it around to some of the other dormies to add stuff?
Bert: That's...
Telly: Where's Bryan?
Big Bird: He had work today, remember?
Telly: Oh yeah. I hope he gets home soon. I'm starving.
Bry: (enters) I'm home! There you two are! I heard that you guys stuck downstairs last night and broke into Kathy's room to take her walker.
Telly: Yeah, we did...
Yeah, I'm still sticking with "Bein' Green" as Kermit's theme, especially after knowing how close Jim Henson really was to that song, himself. I understand it was very personal to him.
Hoots: (overhearing room 1's inhabitant) Man, someone's got their strings tuned a little too tight. Eh, I'll take care of it... (gets the undecorated walker out of room 29 and puts it back in room 6) There.
Ernie: (voice-over) Muppet Dorms were brought to you by the letter C and by the number 3.
Bert: (voice-over) Ernie, I'm trying to sleep. Would you keep it down?
Ernie: Sorry, Bert. Goodnight.
Bry: Hey, Telly. You all ready for bed?
Telly: Almost. I can't find Freddy
Bry: Check under the bed.
Telly: Oh, yeah! He always falls down there. Thanks, Bryan.
Bry: You're welcome.
Big Bird: (comes inside from the nest) Hey, Bryan.
Bry: Hi, Big Bird. What are you doing up? Is your...
Thank you. And another thing to add on to what I already said, those people also remind me of what a truly good person is and what peace is about. Especially on this forum, in my eyes, they represent exactly what Jim Henson stood for.
True, some of them do get on there just to be on TV and intentionally act ridiculous, but there are also some very real people that go on the show truly making an effort to share a love and/or passion for music and singing (whether they're the best or not) just like those 2 boys who were the...
When I use mentors here, I mean people who have especially earned my respect on the forum and I value them as friends. I have mentors in the real world too that kind of fill a different sort of description I guess.
Yeah, I think that MLK would have worked well with the folks at Sesame Street. I wonder if he and Henson knew each other at all. I'm sure they would have been friends.
Bry: (opening the door a bit) Kathy? Hi! Sorry, don't mean to barge in. We just wanted to see if you needed anything. We also brought you some brownies.
Telly: (sees the walker) Whooah...that's the weirdest looking pogostick I've ever seeeen!
Big Bird: Hehe! Oh, Telly, that's not a...
