Funny that you should mention Floyd serenading Janice. Earlier today, I was listening to...
Who Put the Bomp (Barry Mann)- I got to thinking about how Floyd could sing this, looking at Janice during the speaking part. :sing::flirt:
Awww, I love that scene in MFC! I agree that he wasn't trying to hurt Robin, but I do think that he was trying to get back at Kermit. He was angry about being pressured by Kermit and Scooter, and remembering that Robin was sleeping on the plate, he decided to pretend that he was going to...
That's true, but I don't think any of them were regular characters. Of course, I could be wrong...
Just out of curiosity, have the Swedish Chef and Robin interacted in other episodes? I can't remember seeing them together in other scenes besides this one.
Maybe Robin fell asleep somewhere else, then the chef grabbed him and put him on the plate to use him in the sketch later. He obviously knew Robin was on the plate before he started. Why he wanted to cook Robin, I have no idea...
There's also the part in A Muppet Family Christmas where everybody's singing Christmas carols, and Floyd and Janice are sitting rully close together. :flirt::sing:
One of my favourites is the scene in MTM when that guy runs off with her purse. She borrows Gregory Hines' skates and chases the mugger, then Kermit shows up and she starts arguing with him about his "relationship" with Jenny. The whole thing is hilarious, from Piggy's angry eyes during the...
There's something that bugs me in the Muppet Show sketch where the Swedish Chef is unprepared to go on stage, and Kermit and Scooter force him to go on. After yelling obscenities (I think) at them, the Swedish Chef tries to chop Robin's legs off. It's a funny sketch, but why is Robin already on...
The one where Bert and Ernie go fishing never fails to make me laugh. I'm giggling right now just thinking about it!
"Heeeeeeere, FISHIE FISHIE FISHIE!"
Hmmm... Maybe you're right. After all, we've never seen Robin's parents, so how do we know what they look like? That still doesn't explain why he spends so much time with Kermit. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's great that they're so close, but why do we only see Robin's parents (if...
Hi! I've been lurking for years, but I only just joined recently. Don't know why I waited so long... Anyway, I've been a fan of the Muppets as long as I can remember, and it's been fun discussing them and reminiscing!
Does anyone remember the cartoon with three body builders? The third and biggest one has so much muscle that you can't see his face, and he can't support all the weight so he falls over and shatters. I can't find it anywhere, and now I'm starting to wonder if I just imagined it.
What if Red married Floyd? (I don't really want them to be together, but think of what her full name could be!)
What if the Swedish Chef spoke perfect English?
What if Gonzo really did return to his home planet?
What if Zoot had more energy?
"Jake the Peg" by Rolf Harris: I can see this being sung by an AM who has three legs, and throughout the song, other Muppets come in and laugh or stare at him. He could even show up in a Veterinarian's Hospital sketch later in the episode, demanding to have his extra leg amputated.
