There are so many to choose from... One that I've always liked is the game show spoofing to To Tell the Truth, where a baby is asked to identify his real grandmother. He has to choose between an old woman, a dog in a grey wig and a bearded man in a suit and tie (also wearing a grey wig). It's...
I know that the marriage/pregnancy storyline came about because Sonia Manzano became pregnant in real life. If I remember correctly, Northern's final episode was the one with Gabi's birth. It definitely would have been depressing to see the next season start with Maria becoming a widow and...
I wasn't around in the 1970's, but I know that Maria and David were in a relationship back then. Does anyone know when exactly they broke up? David didn't seem to be completely over her when she and Luis got married. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this...
This isn't a complete song, but I was just watching the episode "Whose Tale is it Anyway?" on Youtube, and cracked up when Janice, as Mrs. Rabbit from the story she was reading, started singing "Purple crayons all over the place... and if you go chasing rabbits... Wild thing!"
Something else from the wedding in MTM. I have to ask Kermit why he's so surprised about the real minister being there instead of Gonzo. While walking down the aisle, he must have seen Gonzo sitting with his other friends.
Here's another one. You know the scene in The Muppets where Piggy meets Poogy? When Piggy says "Listen... *looks down* ...sister."
Me: Good thing you checked. It's not always easy to tell, is it?
Speaking of MTM, I always find myself sitting on the edge of my seat during the wedding scene, when Kermit hesitates before saying "I do." I've seen it many times, and I know he eventually says it, but it still makes me yell "Say it, already!!!"
And in MFC, I always tell everyone to "watch out...
I don't know if this was intentional, but I noticed a bit of foreshadowing. First, you have Tim interacting with a parrot. Of course, he goes on to play Long John Silver in MTI (with a lobster instead of a parrot, I know, but still). Then the P.T. Barnum sketch with the clowns (IT).
Yeah, I would have liked to see Rizzo and Robin too, plus others. I have to say that, although I like Pepe, I was glad to see that he wasn't in the last movie very much. He wasn't on the original Muppet Show, after all.
That's true for me too, actually, for a few reasons. :p I guess what I meant to say is that here, I can talk at length about Muppets without anyone getting tired of it.
It just hit me... Bill and Gil both have hair! Maybe it's a city vs. swamp thing. Frogs who live in the swamp are bald and don't wear clothes, but city frogs have both. Kermit and Robin, who've left the swamp, are probably still swamp frogs at heart, which is why they only wear clothes on...
