All I'm saying is, as with anything that stays in the public eye for such a long time, things never stay the same forever. There is a definite distinction between the muppets of old school versus the new productions. I personally love both. Just because I miss Jim Henson's muppets, it doesn't...
I think people are really misinterpreting what they mean here. I read the article to mean that it would just be a parody special of a reality show. The way I picture it is something kind of similiar to the Steve Martin episode of the muppet show where they are auditioning new acts. I don't think...
Dang. It does say 1999. I was really excited for a second. That script sounded really cool too. Oh well lets just keep hoping for other new muppet movies.
To the best of my knowledge:
Muppet Movie 1979
Muppet Caper 1981
Muppets Take Manhatten 1984
As far as Lips i'm not sure. I don't remember him being in the muppet movie. I only remember him from the muppet caper. If these dates are correct The muppet movie would have been the only one...
Where would that leave MTM? If MM is real events and MTM is real events, why would the muppets be struggling college graduates trying to be on Broadway if they had already made it big in Hollywood?
Yeah I always thought they were married too but trying to make sense out of a timeline based on the movies is difficult. Maybe if they come out with a new muppet show they will be able to follow a story more. But thats just my wishful thinking for a new muppet show. :)
I'm sure there are lots of wives out there who would be that excited that their husbands kissed them. :flirt:
In the kermit and Piggy muppetism bonus feature on the mtm dvd. She hits Kermit and when he asks who she is, she says "i'm your wife" but I think maybe she was trying to trick him...
If i'm correct, the next movie that was made was the Muppet Christmas Carol. They were married in that and had children on top of it. I always took that as part of the timeline. But than again if thats the case muppet treasure Island wouldn't fit into that. Because Kermit had left her at the...
I always took it to mean that they got married in real life. I seem to remember it mentioned something about it in one of the bonus features on the muppet show DVDs. In one of the bonus features where they have the muppetisms. Ms. Piggy is yelling at Kermit and says something about being his...
You absoutely read my mind. A muppets tonight DVD release would be awesome. I would love to watch those shows over again. Wish I would have been smart enough to tape the show when it was on originally. Count me in! :excited:
Yeah I noticed that too about emmet otter. It is getting more expensive and harder to find. Suncoast here in town used to sell tons of muppet DVDs and now the only ones that are left are the disney ones. They also had a lot of muppet action figures and stuffed animals that are on clearance. Are...
I'm new to this site, so maybe this has been discussed before. But are some of the older shows like the muppet movie and muppet caper out of print on DVD? If so does anyone know why and if they will be rereleased. What other ones have been discontinued? I'm currently working on completing my...
I liked very muppet christmas better than mcc. Not that MCC wasn't good but it could have had bigger parts for the regular muppets. But I loved them both. :)
