This thought recently got into my mind. Is Muppet Labs a realistic kind of sketch for a variety show?
sure, they are comedy sketches, but in the universe of the show, the various mishaps are not intentional. I guess it’s two scientists showing off a talent - showing how their inventions work...
In The Muppet Show opening, when the title logo lowers, does anybody know why Kermit and Fozzie move from where they are? They are the only ones who move out of the way (I would think Miss Piggy would be more likely to move away than Fozzie would).
Did all five themed days of The Mickey Mouse Club have their own theme song? I know that The Best of Disney: 50 Years old Magic shows the "Anything Can Happen Day" theme, and the "Fun with Music" theme was on a Sing-Along Songs video (and was the title song, even though the cover represented...
Now I wonder if it’d be good if the main Muppets outside of the Electric Mayhem were kind of treated like TMS guest stars by each only appearing in one episode (and perhaps having them all appear in the season finale).
though if it is documentary style, I guess that format would lend itself...
I forgot about this and didn’t get to watch it live (I had a few questions, though it looks like those were answered after all).
People on the Toughpigs forum were hoping each episode would be more an excuse for the band to perform, with minimal linking plot. Looks like it’s not going to be...
One thing I had not thought about until tonight: Gonzo sees that his trunk of his fungus collection lacks mildew, and he and Scooter seem to go to get it.... I would have thought that he'd open the trunk (and effectively let Kermit out) to put the mildew in.
I'm actually surprised by how much Buddy appears in this. It feels like he gets more screen time compared to other guest stars. He's practically in the whole first half.
Was that a special Beaker puppet built for this, or did they alter one of the spare ones from the Mac Davis episode (many...
I was surprised, I expected the Arabs oil plotline to be in more of the episode then it actually was, and the "Kermit gets injured" plotline to be featured less than it was.
After reading the description/rundown on the Muppet Home Page episode guide (and having been familiar with quite a few...
I watched this today, and I was surprised. I was under the impression that Shields and Yarnell never talked in the episode (except maybe at the end, like the Mummenshaz did). After all, they are primarily silent in their first two dressing room scenes... So I was surprised when they talk...
Actually, Sesame Workshop owns the distribution rights to Sesame Street. HBO Max owns the streaming rights, but I don't think HBO or HBO Max own the rights any more than PBS ever did. HBO may have authority in blocking fan uploads, though.
I was reminded of this Alex Mack promo: Secret World of Alex Mack - Alex Mack Is Powerful - YouTube
Is the part at the end, where the dad says "if she's so powerful, she should use her powers to clean the downstairs bathroom" while a door seems to be closing due to her powers, part of an...
Although I had already seen this one (and still haven't gotten through all the episodes I have not seen), I decided to watch this one on Disney+.
I had thought that the only reason Christopher Reeve was the doctor in Vets Hospital was because Miss Piggy forced Rowlf to be the patient and...
All this time, I was under the impression that Lips never appeared in a backstage scene, so I was pleasantly surprised to see him backstage as the Electric Mayhem left the stage and walked past backstage (I did not know the band was in this scene). I also like seeing Bunsen and Beaker on the...
I dreamt I was in a book store and saw copies of a few Jim Henson and Muppet books I did not know existed (and would have known about online). One that stood out was an expanded rerelease of Sesame Street Unpaved, the book was fatter and shaped differently.
But one of the books included a...
Yeah, when Jerry Nelson died, I was hoping there'd be a collectors DVD focusing on segments with his characters (both rare clips and stuff that had been online for years but not available on home video) while at the same time thinking that same basic thing.
I wonder if the next episode will...
I thought he said the title implies many of the Muppets being involved, not that there aren't a lot involved (when right now, it looks like it's primarily the Electric Mayhem).
I am glad this is finally confirmed. Of course, it could always be canceled (I hope not).
I've seen people on the Tough Pigs forum talking about how they hope the band isn't developed too much, as they disliked their development on the 2015 series and feel they are better as supporting...
Been watching some of the old '90s Apple Jacks commercials recently. At first I had trouble finding many in search, but did see more in related videos. Anyway, many of the ones I have been finding are from later in the 1990s.... And is it just me, or in the '90s, did they go from a usual formula...
The episodes aired in different orders depending on the individual station. By production order, the last episode is Roger Moore. By taping order (kinda confusing thay taping and production order are different), it’s Gene Kelly.
