Why do Kermit and Fozzie move in the opening?

In The Muppet Show opening, when the title logo lowers, does anybody know why Kermit and Fozzie move from where they are? They are the only ones who move out of the way (I would think Miss Piggy would be more likely to move away than Fozzie would).

I always figure it was a mixture of blocking/since the logo was about to take up the space where they could be seen and the characters' awareness of how when Gonzo's involved with something, it's best to get to a safe distance away.
