Hey, panman. What else are you sitting on over there? *eyes* ;)
Definitely HensonCon. It has a nice ring to it. It's very clear what it's about. And no chickens! :concern:
Hey, so I just made myself a TinyChat account. Unless I'm misreading things, looks like temporary chat rooms that will go away once we're done with them. One person will have to...
Sound awesome. I can't stop to think now, but we could probably come up with a few other generic images that aren't specifically Kermit-related to try to work in the other Henson projects. Take your time and don't stress over it. We don't need it this very instant.
HenCon! Superimposed over a giant image of Camilla!! :) Kidding, I'm kidding. Can we call it HensonCon, please? Pretty please? Pinky, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
TinyChat looks good, let's give it a whirl. Who's setting it up? I don't mind doing it--looks like something...
I have a question for any of you exceedingly lucky people who were at MuppetFest. Can you tell me roughly how many people were in attendance? I need to know, and can't seem to find the information anywhere.
Also, feel free to tell me every single detail of everything that happened there...
I like the idea of having a web site handy, but yeah, there's not much to put on it just yet. I do wish we had a place to chat. There are a lot of logistics to discuss, and I'm not sure if I want to start getting into all that on the forum. This thread is going to be eight hundred pages long...
Shoot. I just typed up a big post and lost it. Trying again:
Who's up on city politics? I was searching for the Gville Chamber of Commerce, but they don't have one. Instead they have the "Delta Economic Development Center." Nothing on their site screams "This is who you should contact if...
That's...pretty cool, actually. I know my kids (who seem to think that their every tiny scratch needs a Muppet band-aid) would love it. If we had an iphone.
Ha ha ha, now THAT'S a dream! Utter nonsense! I love that your brain took somebody who is notoriously friendly, approachable and happy and made her ... uh, not those things. :)
I read or heard somewhere once that one's brain can't read in dreams. Which might explain why everything was in a...
Aw, shucks, guys. Y'all really just made my day. I needed the confidence boost. Glad I could be of help! Now, I really need a number for MuppetFest. Most of what I've read (over and over because it sounds like it was so awesome) are accounts of the event, but don't mention how many people...
Well, I'm glad the letter meets with approval! ... I think. Still not sure about it, myself. Anybody hear from Bandit this week? I'd like to get her take on it, because I have a feeling that she might have other ideas. Possibly better ones.
Somebody else should probably print the letter...
Agreed, on all counts! I definitely wasn't trying to say that Frank's Piggy wasn't awesome, because boy, was she ever. And it was always fun watching stodgy old news anchor types totally crack up at her. :)
I wonder if it's not more the writers than Frank/Eric? I get what you're talking about, but I've noticed it more in scripted bits like this one (although, like you observed, Piggy had some nicer moments last night). In interviews and more off-the-cuff appearances, I'd argue that Eric's Piggy...
It's also interesting that Piggy is now admitting that they're not married--she was pretty adamant that they were for decades. I was a little sad about that, honestly, but it's nice having Kermit acknowledge that they're a couple. I guess it's a compromise. :)
Pinky, that's an interesting...
Steve...no, Dave. No, Steve. No, Dave.... No, Steve....hmmmm.
You know, all these "what's your favorite" and "who's the best" and "who do you want to meet" threads have made me realize that I'm a terrible wembler!
It's on Hulu now. The Muppets come in around 22:45 and leave around 38:00. And then there's another snippet during the closing credits. For heaven's sake, don't watch the rest of it.

That was just super cute. I think I've been Kermit deprived lately. For a while there, we were getting several new appearances or interviews a week. But this is the first new material since Carnegie Hall, right? I was getting twitchy. ;) Kermit was in really good form, too. I love the way...
This will need appropriate salutation, etc:
In 2001, _______ fans of Jim Henson’s creations gathered in Santa Monica for MuppetFest, a celebration of the Muppets, the people who work with them, and their creator. The event was a success, but, unfortunately, it was the last official Muppet fan...
