"The answer to every problem in our lives, the answer that will finally bring world peace is...
PUPPETS!
...Puppets are the answer to our problems!"
(This came from an episode of Cow and Chicken, but it just made me laugh that I had to share it)
My list of the most annoying misconceptions I've heard people make:
-Cookie Monster being changed to the Veggie Monster, being written off, etc.
-Labeling The Muppet Show as a "kid's" show
-Early episodes of Sesame Street inappropriate for today's children...with most of the blame...
From the "creepy movie" thread...

The credited to 1970 but I could of sworn though some other reference it was 1973.

*Cruella deVil (101 Dalmatians---not the cartoon, but the live-action version, and...
Or at least a non-muppety one. In his history I think this might be his 2nd cameo in any film. (not counting sesame movies). His 1st being in the great muppet caper
It also seems that he's been in more movies than any other Sesame Muppet:

Oh wow. Oscar does get around a lot these days, does he?
First the Pete Seeger 90th birthday concert, a cameo in Night at the Museum 2, now this. This is awesome.

I was surprised by this too.
But it would've made sense if Oscar was with Yoda instead of Darth Vader. He could make some sort of snarky "Muppet-related" remark to him or something (since Yoda is often mistaken for as a Muppet, and he would be performed here by Frank Oz)
Unless it could be...
