    Full-body costume puppets

I've made those sorts of costumes. They're challenging, but quite do-able. The trickiest part are the eye holes-- keeping them disguised yet large enough for a not-too-obstructed view and making sure they line up properly.

I'm confuse between cannon and real life of the Muppets?

Haven't Gonzo and Rizzo said that MFS is based on actual events from Gonzo's life? So the movie is a movie (and thus fictional), but the general gist of the movie is 'real.'

I'm confuse between cannon and real life of the Muppets?

I wouldn't assume talk show appearances are unscripted. The questions are generally approved in advance by the guest (or the guest's managers) and sometimes the entire appearance is rehearsed. It's all make believe.

Do you want a Palisades Muppet Babies Playset?

I so want Afro Kermit (though I've been calling that Hollywood Kermit-- you mean TMTM costume where Kermit decides if you can't beat 'em, join 'em and delivers his script to the agent, right Luke?). It's a completely different look and it's fun! How many times have we seen Kermit in gold...

Do you want a Palisades Muppet Babies Playset?

As for MCC, I think the Christmas tie-in could work really well. Sure, some people will only put them out one month of the year-- but it opens up an entirely new market. Lots of people will invest in holiday decorations but not in collectible toys. If the MCC stuff could be marketed to that...

Do you want a Palisades Muppet Babies Playset?

It might be fun, and more cost effective, to make the deluxe Muppet boarding house playset for the PVCs. The playset has to be at least two stories. Personally, I'd like to see a main floor with the living room and kitchen (I think we could drop the dining room and put a table in the...

    Grover question

Re: Reply That is a relatively new development. Until recently, Oz wouldn't allow anyone else to play his characters. His lack of availability meant his characters simply couldn't be used much. Now that he has allowed SST to find new performers for his characters, we see more of them...

    Grover question

How old is Baby Bear? He's on a tee ball team and he knows the alphabet. He is a pretty accomplished artist. I don't think he is all that young. My understanding is that SST changed in response to the needs of a younger audience. They knew the show was being watched by more 3 and 4 year...

Do you want a Palisades Muppet Babies Playset?

I disagree. While that is true for a certain age group, there are many Muppet fans who loved the Muppets before Muppet Babies and were too old for the cartoon in the 80s. Most of us who were in high school and college (and beyond) in the 80s don't have any real fondness for Muppet Babies...

    Grover question

I think Frank Oz got busy directing movies in Hollywood and didn't have much time to devote to his SST characters-- vastly limiting what SST could do with Grover, Cookie, Bert.... Now that Oz is allowing other performers to do his SST characters, we're seeing more of Grover. Aside from...

Do you want a Palisades Muppet Babies Playset?

Vet's Hospital is definitely at the top of my playset wish list. I would MUCH prefer VH to BOP. In terms of mass appeal, I don't see a nursery playset pulling in non-Muppet fan figure collectors. Maybe if Toys R Us put it next to the Barbies, but not next to the Simpson figures and...

Do you want a Palisades Muppet Babies Playset?

There are so many other options for playsets and figures-- I'd much rather see The Happiness Hotel or a Pepe and Rizzo jacuzzi set, or backstage, or a dressing room, or Pop's diner, or the swamp..... Muppet Babies are really, really low on my figure wish list. I think Luke and Jamie are...

    Fix-it to Mail-it?

There are only so many broken pop-up toasters in the world. Remember that Maria doesn't know how to fix toaster ovens-- it was really a niche market. Of course I'm not sure how they are making a living off the Mail-It shop since they seem to mail things for free for most of the residents...

Face painting is a great way to go, Nate. Less chance of melting skin off with a hot glue gun that way.
