I've found that a very nice thing about being a comic fan is that most of the writers and artists are very accessible. In Philadelphia, I was able to talk to all three Kuberts, Mark Waid, Jeph Loeb, Judd Winnick, Joe Quesdada, Kevin Smith...the list goes on and on. I am very excited to go to...
It's not really much of a story...Pop used to volunteer at a youth center that made lots of money from concessions such as claw machines, so I guess he knows his stuff. My husband and I always joke that the one bit of wisdom that Pop has given him over the years is to avoid claw machines...
According to my husband's grandfather, it is nearly impossible to get a toy from the claw machine if the rubber tips have been removed from the claws. If there are no rubber tips, I don't even bother.

That and he's so darned cute.
Once again, I've got to go with seeing Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO on The Muppet Show. My favorite movie, crossing over with my favorite TV show--WOW!
This is a fun thread!
1. Gonzo. No dinner party could be complete without someone to make you laugh!
2. Rizzo. He'd play off Gonzo and make him even funnier.
3. Fozzie. Would be upsetting for him if Gonzo got more laughs, but would love to have such a sweet bear at my table.
4...
It's not quite the same, but I have vague memories of going to see an exhibit of the Muppets at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago when I was really little. So little in fact, that the biggest impression I have was looking up at Statler & Waldorf's feet in their kid-sized shoes...
