Hey Ken,
I've seen this question posted before, but haven't seen it answered. What was the inspiration for "Vacation Fozzie?" Is there a specific Muppet Show or other reference to him dressed that way? I like the idea, and am curious as to where it came from.
I'm also happy at the...
Ah yes, but after Series 3 who knows what direction Palisades is going to go. They'll most assuredly be dropping the "Muppet Show 25 Anniversary" title, and Ken has already hinted that the scope of the line could potentially be either expanding or shifting directions. It's more than likely...
Hey Jeffrey. Thanks for these interesting reports. I'm finding them curiously entertaining. I'm not usually one who enjoys reports of other people's vacations, but I am enjoying yours. Especially learning about the various shows and specials out there that I've never seen.
Thanks again.
Interesting how the brother-in-law dies and his obituary at the end of the articles is Snoop Dogg's record sales. It must suck being a relative of a famous person some times.
None of them are as good as Thumb Wars, though each have their moments. Thumbtanic would probably be my second favorite just for the moment when the giant Tarantula attacks the boat. But hey, for $10 a DVD I don't need an instant classic every time.
Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back: Mark...
Maybe they should bring together Dr. Who and He-Man where every so often a new He-Man takes over. Or like Black Adder where every season is a completely different time!
When cartoons and British television collide next on Fox...
(There's a really great new animated Mr. Bean series. I'm...
When I was a kid there were three ways I knew who was a celebrity: The Muppet Show, The Love Boat, and Fantasy Island.
Now the only potential candidate to assure celebrity is maybe Saturday Night Live.
Seriously, I consider myself quite the connoisseur of popular culture, but even before arriving at volume 20 we're welcoming special guest stars that no one has even heard of in 25 years. I suppose each of the guest were somehow notable when they originally appeared, but looking back, I don't...
That I do, Slim. When I buy a new Simpsons figure, I rip it out and admire the figure. When I buy a Muppet figure, I examine every portion of the card, noting the credits, reading the bio, admiring the graphics. It's a shame I have to ruin the packaging to get to the toy. Only after going...
If they kept going and released everything, it wouldn't be "The Best of The Muppet Show" any more. After volume 20 they could relabel it "The Mediocre Muppet Show" and the last 5 could be "The Dregs of the Muppet Show."
Bat-Thumb is already out. I also have Blair Thumb and Thumbtanic. I think the next one is Frankenthumb followed by the GodThumb. Personally, the one I'm waiting for is Thumb Matrix.
?So your name is Oobie-Doobie Scoobie Doobie Kadoobie?? - Loke Groundrunner, Thumb Wars
Okay, okay. I changed my sig quote due to my dastardly spelling error. Actually it wasn't my error. I copied and pasted Ralph Wiggum's quote from somewhere else who spelled it that way. So it's someone else's fault. Unfortunately I don't think Wookiee is included in typical spelling checkers.
So do any of you cartoon geeks know what happened to the "Ripping Friends"? I waited 10 years for that ever since the whole ousting fiasco on Ren & Stimpy. And it disappeared as quickly as it arrived. It should have been on Adult Swim rather than on Fox Kids (and maybe replace some of the...
"Boy what a whiner that kid is!"
-Thumb Wars
Anyone who has missed this short film, is missing out on one of the funniest and oddest Star Wars parodies ever made.
Although I have a difficult time seeing the differences in the retooled figures, let me just say that I am indeed greatful not only that we are allowed to see the prototypes, but that we are allowed to comment on them and critique them and hopefully help in making great figures even better...
There's no e-mail address for Dr. Teeth, but if you are there, can you let me know where you got your avatar? It looks like the variant Dr. Teeth and I'm missing a good picture of him for my muppet desktop collage.
