Oh yeah. I mean, it's cheap fan fiction, and that kind of fan fiction at that. Like Chip and Dale boinking Gadget for the sake of them boinking Gadget with no plot line. A kind of... well... I can't use the term. It's the term Stewie in Family Guy used for The DaVinci Code when he dismissed...
Simpsons has been ruled kid friendly since its inception. I grew up when the Simpsons just started, and all the merchandising was focused mainly on children... Children's size T-shirts, Bart Simpson Juice Boxes... even the comic book series, which was touted in several issues of Disney...
It is a valid question though.
Even though the writers confirmed he has a part in the movie. But who wants a subtext where he disappears? Like that little girl who disappeared off of Family Matters when her mother wanted more money. They never wrote her off, and that leads you to think...
I wish they had an Electric Mayhem one. Though, I don't own or frequently use too many mugs. I'm not a fan of hot beverages. If I wasn't so deadset on getting the figure set, I probably would have picked one up, though.
Still, those are some visually stunning uses of poser photos... that...
Dreamworks and Pixar are fine with me. And Like I've said a hundred times before, it's those third party and off brand studios I'm more hit and miss about.
As far as that's concerned, I'm not happy about the extortion Fox is pulling with Ice Age 4. I was all set to ignore that to next...
Brother Bear wasn't as bad as everyone let on. Sure, it wasn't one of Disney's best... but it did Native American legend better than that certain other movie. Plus having the McKenzie brothers as Moose pretty much held my interest in the film.
Home on the Range?.... uh... I can't explain it...
Music that's supposed to make someone relaxed sounds horrid to me. That's what matter of taste is. I HATE the heck out of "soft rock" for two reasons...
First off, if Michael Bolton's ability to shout long notes is NOT relaxing in the slightest. Same way a fire truck going by your house at...
When there are concerns, there are valid ones, stupid sounding ones, self serving ones, and crazy ones on different levels of dangerousness.
I really hate the media landscape we have now. We can't even have a kid's meal promotion without some group writing letters about how evil it is for them...
My dislike of Pocahontas around here is well known. It was the Princess film that broke the mouse's back, and it started the slide to non-princess stories (even though Mulan is considered one). And they had mixed results since, with the best success being Lilo and Stitch... a movie that was so...
Actually... no.
Not at all.
Look at it this way. Remember when Prometheus was released 3 weeks ago? All Box Office predictions were Prometheus was going to be the number one movie, Snow White and the Huntsman second, and Madagascar 3 to come in a distant third. In reality, when Saturday...
That's where I'd put him in the context of a show. Maybe give him an Eddie the Wet Nosed News Boy type role in this movie, depending on what the film concept is.
But I feel Scooter has paid his dues and should have greater responsibilities by now, possibly with more technical duties. I'd...
Not quite.
PG-13 sells the most, and most conceptual R-rated movies are hacked down to get a PG-13 rating (like Suckerpunch or the last Die Hard movie) so teenagers can see it. Often times, these do ruin the movies, and they just get an unrated when they hit DVD.
But like I said, most PG...
I don't think anyone can be well rounded if they can't appreciate old AND new. And I don't mean you should like everything of both eras. There's always something good, it just gets harder and harder to find sometimes. Not everything old is worthy of classic status, not everything new is shiny...
In the context of the film, I'd tend to think Scooter has been with the Muppets long enough to be promoted to a more important job, and Walter would be there to take his place in an entry level internship. Scooter would be a big brother type mentor to him. That's the ideal place for him.
I...
It doesn't seem to me so much they learned their lesson about EW as the fact that EW has been around since 1998, and somehow they got bored with it. That's why we haven't seen a new one since Frogs back in season 40, the only new one that season. I think deep down the writers and some producers...
I don't know how to feel about it.
On the one hand, ANYTHING has to be more interesting than Elmo talking about shoelaces for 15 minutes... but on the other... There's that freaking STEM again.
I'd tend to think a new Elmo segment should focus on a variety of subjects, including...
Melissa said it best. SST took chances because it had the luxury of being the only kid's program on TV. Now you have entire channels on cable devoted to 24 hr preschool programming. There's little room for Sesame Street to be risky, unless the risk is coming up with a new way to clone...
