Poser puppets.
Yeah. MFS was the first Muppet movie to not have an illustrated movie poster.
At least they weren't half taking off their glasses and staring at the camera. Or air kissing like an Italian Chef.
That's giving it too much credit. I've seen my fair share of odd bootleggs in my day. My favorite was a Chef from South park sticker that was Caucasian! Even the stickers made out of Chicken Little Screen grabs with the caption "Sea Life" on the cover.
I guess whoever did this traced the...
Pffft. No. We could easily make something much better at home than Film canister with punch out paper bits. Even a Paper Bag puppet is much more functional.
Heh. Very well could be the case. These didn't even look like well made film canisters. Worst thing is, they're probably going for...
Summer is out.
The story is much stronger this time. And there's a LOT of sketches in this one. Very short one page skits, but there's a Vet's Hospital, a Muppet Labs, AND a Pigs in Space. A very short one.
And the layout is MUCH better with the credits page at the end. The first 3 pages...
Yeah, and Christmas is the only time they even run specials. They have those old classics, sure... and an endless parade of lame new stuff that doesn't have any imagination or fun (excluded: the AWESOME Prep and Landing specials).
Sigh... I really miss when they had TV specials for no reason...
I don't even give it credit for religious extremists. It's all a certain biased based, Polarizing news corporation, and their overpaid opinion muckrakers. People who watch it and actually like it (non-ironically) are more than welcome to it.
I still think people were too humorless about GCB...
Plastic tubes with cardboard cut outs to tape to them.
Not even stickers.
They were too cheap to even use stickers.
I dunno... I'm loving the McDonalds 16 piece Spongebob figures that actually DO something AND look great on display. THAT is a Kid's Meal prize! Even if it wasn't for the...
That thing about the giant inflatable Captain Hook, Voldemort, Cruella DeVille, and Queen of Hearts being defeated by a legion of Mary Poppinses was certainly... errrr... special. Still, I wonder why there was no Sherlock Holmes mention anywhere if they were talking about Brit Lit... Sherlock...
No no no! They're inflatable Kermit the Frog shaped Bowling pins.
Obviously someone took a picture with the flash too bright and the focus completely off of Fozzie, Gonzo jumping out of a pillow, and Animal sitting on a tack, showing off their collection of Kermit shaped Bowling Pins and a...
It's great for the new characters, that's for sure. If the ENTIRE movie was about Gonzo getting an autopsy from VanNeuter, it would be the GREATEST Muppet Movie of all time.
Still, I wonder what Muppets IN Space was going to be like. Probably a better movie. Especially if they put Strangepork...
MFS was Gonzo's movie and the new character's movie. Other than that, the old characters seemed there for Brand Recognition.
And then Kermit wigged out in VMX, first on Piggy, then on his own Guardian Angle (twice), and like that, Kermit was BACK!
Or we could have them bouncing around, lobotomized like in MFS. or not even playing themselves like MTI and MCC.
Seriously... this is the movie where they lost their edge? I don't get that at all. It's a far better path than the "Use Kermit sparingly, and don't let him emote or do anything...
They hate hetero sex too. To them, sex is a mechanical, unenjoyable act of filth solely to produce more little good automatons to keep passing down what they want them to believe. They want extreme censorship and to shape the world however they see fit. Even Christian Conservatives find them...
I like when groups like that cry "religious freedom." They want a massive government overreach of religion, turning us into any one of the Middle Eastern countries they constantly complain about. And the worst part is, not every Christian believes in the same things as other Christians.
Now...
It possibly couldn't have been a flop, per se... but a gimmick come back would have opened the door for more gimmicks. MCC was followed up by MTI, for example. MFS WAS all gimmick because they wanted another Sci-Fi movie because of Star Wars. Imagine if THAT was a success. We really would...
Probabably the last one, as television networks constantly air, and always have, shows made by a "rival" company. A LOT of WB produced shows aired on ABC, especially after the buy out. ABC's biggest hit, Modern Family is produced by FOx.
So, a Disney produced Muppet special airing on CW isn't...
Here's the thing. It came out (I don't know where) that when he was a senator, he did support gay marriage or something to that extent. Either voted on a bill or something, I can't remember the specifics since someone mentioned it somewhere in passing. But when it came to presidential...
The "push the envelope" stuff was MUCH worse in MOz. That "nipple" thing was far more disgusting than the innuendo jokes, ad lib or not. Plus, as Simpsonsy and pop cultury as the film was, there was little hints of Muppet sweetness, and there were some good story elements wedged in there. But...
