    The RHLC!

You guys might remember Amanda mentioning the song "Shed a Little Light", how it was sung by one of Richard's sisters at his funeral. I completely forgot about that one, but Muppet Newsgirl reminded me when she mentioned "Lonesome Road." Here's the lyrics and a youtube clip with the actual song...

Least favorite change to the show

Just that they stopped showing the older clips. The old and the new should be able to live together without conflict. That's what the show is about. :)

Yeah it's ok, I can see you might not remember if you haven't watched the show for awhile. I stopped watching Sesame Street probably when I first started going to school, because of the time conflict. But everytime something big happened, I always wanted to know about it, like that "Big Bird's...

Oh I've always loved Bob too. Such a great voice and he was always so normal and reliable on the show, lol. And the interview overall was really interesting, especially learning about his early career. It is good to hear there wasn't too much ego or conflicts on the set, that's pretty rare. :)

The Jim Henson Hour was definitely unique. When it was on I didn't realize it was a TV show and just figured there were a ton of Muppet specials at that time! It wasn't perfect but it had potential. Actually it was a good example of quality television that never had a chance. Like the Labyrinth...

    Forgetful Jone's Final appearance

Lol good point, I hadn't thought of that! Well, a common theme on SS was that your friends can help you with your difficulties. :) On the other hand, maybe it's because Noel Cowherd was a non-regular on the street. My friend and I always joked that the SS regulars were keeping Forgetful...well...

    Forgetful Jone's Final appearance

Just wondering, if you've seen this recently, can you tell who is playing the Cowherd character?

Wow...ok...remember yesterday when I was talking about Janice? I must have had it on the brain because I had a bizarre dream that night. The Muppets and a bunch of other humans were going on this Survivor type show (ugh) and all the non-Muppet characters were saying Janice was too much of a...

    The last "best" year

I'm not that up on the years and when things changed to be honest. True, I wasn't thrilled with the Calypso theme. But I remember seeing a couple episodes from that time, and they were pretty good. (Though I still say it was unneccesary to start removing the old clips). So the last good year in...

    Forgetful Jone's Final appearance

That's great, Noel Cowherd lol! (parody of Noel Coward of course) I wish I could see that, it would be very touching. ;)

    Shyamalan's next film is Happening.

I'm definitely interested, he's done some fantastic movies in a world where we desperately need them! Not sure about Mark Wahlberg but I'll still see it. :)

Ooooo J'adore croissants! Yes maybe the voice actor just wasn't able to do a female voice. That's a possibility. Though, perhaps the people in charge weren't familiar with the characters and thought Janice might be a long haired hippie guy with a deeper voice, lol.

    Elmo: pre Kevin Clash

I don't think Richard was getting complaints about his performance, as was mentioned earlier in the thread. There is a quote somewhere where he was supposed to have said, "I'm sick of the calls I"m getting performing this character." I think that means he was sick of getting called to the set...

Oh man, everyone's making me hungry! I didn't need that today...ok I lied. Hehe Weird thing, I took my Muppets Take Manhattan DVD the other day and turned on the Foreign language audio (It was either French or Spanish). Whoever was playing Janice was clearing a man, who was making no attempt...

What was Sesame Street like from 1988-1992?

Elmo occasionally had story lines, more like the way the other characters would, on the street etc. That was a totally different period from the Tickle Me stuff that came in the late '90s.

Should Sesame Street continue after season 40?

I agree there are very few shows that feature such a diverse cast, even today. And I do admire what they did for military families. There a lot of good things about SS even now. I think a lot of it isn't noticed, can't get noticed, when so much attention is placed on only one part of the...

    The RHLC!

Wow a month, time flies! :) MN, very cute, though I would put Joe Raposo in there, he doesn't get mentioned very often. Come to think of it, I never think of Eren for some reason either. :) I was taking an extra long walk yesterday, just kinda wandering since it was a nice day. I happened...
