You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

DreamWorks always had a reputation for kind of pushing the limits as far as family movies go: on the animated front, ANTZ was essentially a darker and edgier version of A BUG'S LIFE, and on the live action front, while MOUSEHUNT is labeled as being a kid's movie, it contains some swearing and...

Rumor: New Sesame Street Movie in the Works

Epic fail. That's all I have to say. Talk about a let down.

Yeah, We Should Have Seen This Coming...

Now I find myself thinking of that old Cher song "Half Breed", and the commentary on it by the folks over at VH1.

    I had a thought...

If parents made such a big deal out of Alistair Cookie having a smoking pipe (even if he didn't actually smoke it), why didn't they think to make it a bubble pipe? Kids love those things, and I'm sure seeing Cookie blow bubbles out of a pipe wouldn't have done much "harm".

Yeah, We Should Have Seen This Coming...

Well, Sarah Palin tried to turn "rogue" into a good term.

    Questions about anything

Did Saturday Morning have a lot of commercials back in the day? I'm trying to figure out why Classic Saturday Morning shows have average running times of 21 and 22 minutes when 21-22 minutes without commercials wasn't even the norm till the 90s and 2000s.

    Frightmare Alley puppets?

Based on those two suggestions, I'd probably go with your second choice, I think that would probably help keep costs down (I believe the gargoyle head alone would probably require a lot of carving and flocking) and would be a lot simpler to construct. I do have one idea though, but I want to...

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

Had this exchange with an old lady today while leaving the library... LADY: Is your name Joseph? ME: Yes. LADY: Joseph Spencer? ME: No. And that was it.

Can we do something about posting for posts sake?

Yes, I'm still getting umpteen PMs on YouTube from that guy on a weekly basis over his obsession with that bit. It's not enough that I found it and posted it for him, now he wants Oscarfan/MarshalGrover to upload it in higher quality and in stereo sound.

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

Okay, so like I said, my mom forced a new cell phone on me, okay... Then, maybe a week ago or so, she got herself a new cell phone as well (exact same kind I got). So now, tonight, she keeps texting me... and okay, I'm sorry, but this just feels way too weird, I feel like my mom is trying to...

Silly things you said, did, or thought as a kid

On that same token, then ANY could have said the same thing about a word they got wrong on spelling tests.

    Questions about anything

This may be a dumb question, but I honestly wonder if women's breasts are sensitive to pain like men's crotches are? I would assume so; as a man, I know that whenever we see a groin hit or a kick to the crotch on TV, we, out of instinct, cringe and wince in pain even though it didn't happen to...

Silly things you said, did, or thought as a kid

On the subject of silly things we DID as kid, one time in Grade 4, we were doing a spelling test, and I was SO sure I got a 100 easy, it was a fairly simple, and easy test (and too I was good at spelling)... so anyway, we got our tests back, and I saw I had a 98, and missed one word, I didn't...
