Hooray for trashing something before it's even in the script stage! :D I prefer more information before I complain the heck about it and then ultimately say it wasn't that bad.
Had it been Sony, you know I would have torn that film a new one before anything happened. Though, I did like Hotel...
I just came from Frankenweenie, and I have to say, it does NOT deserve the box office it got. In fact, I dare say this is the Tim Burton I know and love, and not the goth/emo style he usually goes for. Johnny Depp and Helen Carter aren't anywhere to be found, and the only stock actors he used...
I greatly dislike the fact that everyone blames a medium outright due to the overuse by copycat studios. There were just as many garbage traditionally animated movies because of Disney as there are CGI because of Pixar. When it comes to any animated project the medium is just a way to doll up...
I've seen the Nicktoons line up.
Unfortunately, the ONLY retro Nicktoons figures they had at the time were the Rugrats ones. But the 12" figures have the aforementioned Jimmy Neutron (still with nostrils), Danny Phantom, and the unexpected Cleft the Boy Chin Wonder. There are also plush, but...
Of course, the weird cutscenes in Horton Hears a Who proves they can do 2-D animation.
Still, how many Peanuts movies were there? Snoopy Come Home, Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (that had its own wrap up special), A Boy Named Charlie Brown, and Race for your Life Charlie Brown. I don't know which...
I'm sure professional not PS2 cut scene animation will fix it, but he looks very stiff and like a plastic toy... worse than Mickey, as you said. And I can't find any footage of turn around. Just a side view or back view.
CGI is the way they're going, but this needs to be 2-D animated.
THANK YOU!!!! The Vynalmations are okay, but not 11 bucks okay. Especially since you can get the entire Disney Store Muppet figure assortment for the same price. Or better yet, the actually good Funko vynals for the same price, and they have Mahnah Mahnah!
Ah yes... Mai Lin... The WORST character on the show. I think I have a picture of her right here...
No wait... I mean...
No... I mean..
&^%$ Let me try it again.
I never got to see it, but it really feels like Disney was trying to hard to have an African American princess to add to their toyline. They had to Fractured Fairytales an older story because all our Princess stories are European, i.e. extremely white. Then they released it at a STUPID time of...
Mickey doesn't look that good in CGI, I have to say. He looks like a plastic toy.
This is the only real test of CGI Snoopy ever had...
Actually, I sort of take it back... they do look serviceable in CGI, but you lose the line quality, and Snoopy's bound to look weird in turn around. But...
I agree to that, mainly because there's just SOOOOO many more worthy causes that Romney and the Republicans stand on that deserve these protests that never actually do anything anyway.
But I stress, this was the closest thing to a gaffe Romney had in that debacle, of course they're going to...
John K (or anything remotely linked to him) has a history of going well over budget. That's the reason why they had so many clip shows in Mighty Mouse The New Adventures. The internal drama with angry letter writing grannies was an excuse to get him kicked out so they could find cheaper ways...
AS long as they don't friggin' sing. Though, it's not too hard to guess that he's probably going to get his own episode next season.
Seriously... I wanna see Arthur's friends, not D.W.'s friends. Other than the Tibbles, they're very dull.
It also has something to do with updating them for color and in some cases conversion to cinemascope. They have several Tom and Jerry shorts that are the same thing, too.
And these are a great deal better than the Korean traced and colored versions of black and white silent films. Those are a...
Brandais was a much more engaging and charmingly funny character than I expected. Considering the character basically came out of no where, I did end up caring about him and the episode, rather than being annoyed that the show focused on a newcomer. I especially liked the car insurance gag...
If I may...
Daffy was a big cartoon star before Bugs came in. Daffy's character turned into a jerk at that time, but that's clearly explainable that he got bitter and angry due to his displacement. Now Daffy's paranoid, crazy, stupid, and angry. And he's been that way since Duck Dodgers...
So.. anyone wanna talk about a classic Nicktoon that isn't Rugrats?
I really hate how on later episodes of Ren and Stimpy (the John K being fired episodes) try too hard to make Ren lose all control of his sanity in a vapid attempt to recreate the original episodes. There's really quite a lot...
I like the animation here better than Iron Man: Armored Adventures. They seem to try to hide the CGI-ness of the show, and it almost looks like full on regular animation. I bet it was done by the same anime studio that did the obscure series "Freedom." it took me 2 episodes to realize it was cel...
There's nothing to make fun of about Peanuts... other than the fact a bunch of 6-9 year olds have such an evolved sense of philosophy, psychology, and existentialism. And religion in Linus's case. And the fact that everyone but Snoopy is neurotic as heck.
