Joan Ganz Cooney: NEW radio interview online today, May 18, 2007!

::shrugs:: Sometimes Rap is good, it's just my opinion that we don't hear it's good side very much! My TV watching wasn't hugely monitored my parents, but I was definitely raised to recognize the good and bad programs. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'd have the same confidence when I have kids...

    The John Candy Appreciation Thread

I loved John Candy in Splash. It's one of my favorite movies, especially his speech to Tom Hanks' character about people falling in love. Cool Runnings and Home Alone were great too!

    The RHLC!

Yay, I found the link again! It was on google book search. The book was from 2001 and called Breaking Autism's Barriers, by Bill Davis. I don't think the link will work on here, but here's the quote. Turns how there were quite a few Muppet references, I'll include mostly those here: "Chris...

Should Sesame Street continue after season 40?

I agree, kids don't discriminate about new and old as much as we seem to think they do. I'm not a child psychology expert, but it seems every few years they're always coming out with some new trend regarding children, what they like, the way they learn etc. But in reality, these trends may speak...

    Anybody visit their old schools?

I would love to visit my Pre-school again, it's been years (obviously) and it would be such a nostalgic moment! Hehe

    Six String Orchestra continuity

Right, well there's two sort of universes going on. There's the Muppet show the fictional theater audience is watching, and then there's the entire show, back stage included, that the real life TV audience (that's us) gets to see. Like in the Steve Martin episode; in their fictional universe...

Shrek Spoiler: Wal-Mart ruined a big surprise

I wasn't impressed with the second Pirates either, I turned if off very quickly. ::shrugs::

Should Sesame Street continue after season 40?

I guess part of the conflict is popularity. Barney was very popular too, but not everyone agreed it was great for kids.

Should Sesame Street continue after season 40?

I'm not sure what's better either. The only thing I keep coming back to is, it's easier to introduce the older stuff to kids when the show is still on the air. So for that reason, I would hope for the show to continue.

Should Sesame Street continue after season 40?

Yeah, well they might at some point, you never know. They eventually moved away from the Around the Corner era (which I didn't mind too much, but just trying to make a point.) :)

    The RHLC!

Oh man, now I'VE done it! Sorry Skye, I swear I saw Kiki's name, lol! Anyway, I'm glad the graduation went well. It's always good when the speeches are worth listening to. And big and bold, very appropriate! I hope you're inspired to be bold as you continue on after college. ;) Yeah I know, I...

Aww, that really is a nice story, Kiki! I had to look up a picture of what peonies look like, I wasn't that familiar with them either, lol. (My favorite's the rose). But they are very pretty, so colorful! I can see why he liked them. And congrats on graduation, did it go well? Oh man, ok...
