Yeah I didn't enjoy most of the decade either. The '80s definitely had better kids shows. But just enough of the old magic managed to creep into some of the '90s show. But yeah it's also when things really started going downhill.
I'd say Ninja Turtles counts, it was a 1991 thing. :)
Yeah I mean, it hasn't actually been that long in the grand scheme of things. It does seem like they view the Muppets as a largely nostalgic thing that aren't relevant for kids. I hope that trend (that's permeating all of the media) will eventually fade, when they realize young children don't...
Personally, I don't regret the idea of selling to Disney. I wish Disney would do more with them, but there's still the future. To be honest, I wasn't satisifed with the 'modern' projects that happened before the Disney deal.

Lambchop's Play Along was brilliant, they were all so endearing, and had been for decades! :) I remember Gulla Gulla but I didn't watch it much; I liked the theme song though. I'm not sure what the classic Barney years were. ::shrugs::
The song was done while he was playing Spock on Star Trek. Lord of the Rings was hugely popular in the '60s. And I believe Nimony did a few albums at the time as well. Lol, very unique song!
Very cool, thanks for posting! Yes, it is nice to see they fixed their Mokey mistake. And that Gunge is on the cover, maybe Philo is on the other side.
Well it sounds like a good education plan! Just see how it all goes. High school is important, but it's really only the beginning. Sometimes your plans (and you) will change as you go on to college and life.
It would be good if they focused on literacy again, the country still has a problem with that, unfortunately. Personally I don't mind them addressing eating healthy, it is another serious problem we have. I'm not that familiar with the ways they've been doing it, maybe they could be improved...
The best singers were always Richard and Jerry, they never failed to deliver. I've always loved listening to Janice sing the most. And on Fraggle Rock, I'd say I look foward to Gobo the most. Though, I was blown away by Richard's singing as the Spider-fly, I didn't recognize him at first...
