They seem to focus on the identical sounding "talent" more than anything. They could have at least mentioned the ones that were new that year. And there was only like 3 or so, including the artist of the year balloon.
I really hate how most of the floats are corporate sponsored...
I understand that they have budget concerns and need to reuse material in the same season now, but they could have at least waited until the second half of the season in February to reuse that one.
Ah.
Yeah...
totally not bothering with that or the book.
Apparently, I spoke too soon, Monsters Inc's 3-D rerelease will be December 19. I thought that was supposed to be February.
WOW! That's quite the difference from last year. Only 2 competing kids movies (I don't think those 2 cheap-o films will be any competition), several strategically released movies for slightly older audiences... definitely not the three months of summer blockbusters shoved into a 2 week...
I'm pretty sure the song is prerecorded. Elmo probably will still have his line in thee because they recorded it prior.
It's too iconic to the franchise to have anything else. Yet, you'd think that Sonic would have his classic Sonic 1+ 2 game opening music. At least it isn't "Gotta Go Fast."
You are the ONLY person I know on this board that has a problem with being quoted. Quoting isn't just directly responding to you, but rather bringing up points for the sake of a conversation. Please try to remember that.
I don't think anyone's going to see either of those.
I was thinking more of the caliber of last year's nonstop blockbuster train with Mission Impossible and TinTin among others.
So, other than The Hobbit, what movies are coming out next month? Last year, it seemed like you couldn't go 2 weeks without 3 blockbusters shoved into it. I mean, last November alone, there were no less than 5 kid's movies, 4 of which were running the same week period (we all know what movie one...
On that subject, I really wish someone saved all the Hebrew dubbed Sesame Street sketches that used to be on YT. Nirbas's stuff especially, since he was banned for Moomin clips or something.
Actually, the bankruptcy courts have ordered Hostess to resume negotiations.
Still, I feel the company and brand are better off in more competent hands. But if it saves jobs for a while (until they make more bad decisions about what to do with their money), I'm for that. But Hostess needs to...
I must stress this is not about acquiring a new business to put under Disney but rather buying stock in another company for the sake of owning stock. The fact he sold just as much of his own to pay for it is bothersome, but no changes will be made one way or another, as Iger also sat on the...
Except, technically he is when Frank Oz play him.
Overall, It's great to see a Big Bird storyline again. Wasn't the greatest one, but it's always great to see one. Ball of Wax was a very interesting looking puppet. I guess they could always clean it up and use it as a cheese puppet in time...
I'll probably talk about the rest of the episode later, but I just saw the episode's rerun of Super Grover 2.0 about force and pulling a horse in a carriage. I'm reading into this too much, but the same chicken Muppet SG told to use the force is the same Chicken Muppet they used to make Darth...
Well, Elmo is Sesame Workshop at this point. A lot of us are worried because of the private actions of one guy, albeit an influential one, Sesame Workshop will have a tarnished reputation and will have to jump through a lot of PR hoops to get back to near normal.
Whatever Kevin did, let's put it into perspective. A shameful thing that happened in his private life is bad, but sensationalistic loudmouth tabloid shows for absolute idiots are making money off of the suffering of everyone involved. I can't believe people are actually defending TMZ. Watch...
Part 2 of Tough Pig's review
Apparently, they wanted to milk Michael Jackson's appearance a LOT more by remixing his dialogue and having a still frame of his appearance do seizure inducing flickers.
I'm not going to add to that.
Bill Nye has become a hero to me. He's singlehandedly fighting against the religious right's war on science. And (small political rant) those politicians are using that anti-science logic to defund schools and scientific studies. That's not right. Bill really exploded at the dimwit that said...
We can all agree on this. The original Air Bud sequels were basically "look what other sport we can get a dog to play." That was the only reason those were made.
The Buddies were a lame spinoff to fill the quota of lame talking dog movies featuring the same talking dog cliches that 4 year olds...
Except he's not owning the company, he's owning stock in the company. Disney hasn't bought Apple, the CEO bought stock in the company after selling stock in his. That worries me on the level that it shows some lack of faith in Disney, considering this is the guy who runs it (and has, frankly...
