Why has France and no other country been granted the use of the original Muppet characters for there own show? Surely the Muppets have been as popular in the rest of Europe as they have in France over the years?
As far as collecibilty goes, it's worth the money. There have only been 2,500 made worldwide so once they have gone, that's it. In years to come it'll be worth considerably more I'd guess. It's also just the fact of owning an almost real Kermit! I think that has been a dream of many Muppet fans...
Depends on your view of the Muppets to be honest. As far as I can tell (and I am still waiting for my Kermit replica) it is the closet that most of us will ever be to owning or seeing an original Kermit. It's not exact but it's a close as we are ever gonna get.
Yeah, that would have worked if they had done it back in the 80s but it wouldn't be quite right with the new performers. Also, imagine the copyright problems! lol.
I think that lots of people can do impressions of the original Muppets but only when copying something that was said or sung by them originally. Having to immitate the characters voice and say something you haven't heard them say before would be more difficult.
I have noticed that when various Muppet Show episodes are translated into other languages, the backing track is exactly the same as the original version. I think the same can be said for the Muppet movies too. Is anyone aware of any original backing tracks being available anywhere?
Hmm, not sure. I know that Labyrinth and Dark Crystal both flopped at the box office but I don't know about the Muppet movies. Is there a website with that kinda information on?
