Yeah exactly, Squidward balances it out, lol. What I like about Spongebob is he seems to be a young adult, still trying to get a boating license, working at a job he loves. Very few kids programs show that point of view. It's either kids or grown ups.
You know, for the longest time I avoided the show, thinking it was just another stupid popular Nick cartoon. But I finally sat down and watched an episode one day (when I had nothing else to do) and I just couldn't help but laugh. The humor is so witty but also has this sweetness and innocence...
I remember a little of That's My Bush! To be honest, I did find it hilarous. I didn't see anything wrong with it, we're allowed to tastefully make fun of our leaders (not everything I've seen that makes fun of Bush has been tasteful though!) I felt bad when the show was cancelled.
Even in...
Yeah, I do believe it's possible to combine being faithful with enjoying your life. God wants you to enjoy the life he's given you, while trying to be kind to people most importantly.
Personally, I think it's important to go to Church because it's very easy to forget to think about God and...
Oh yeah The Simpsons are still good, it's just that everything starts to get old.
Actually, the main reason I like Family Guy are the cut aways, lol. They're so surprising clever. The only thing I dislike about FG is how cynical it can be. It takes it too far sometimes.
I don't know about dumber, but I do think kids suffer when all they're exposed to is "happy kiddie time" with no depth. And SS did give into that a little bit, though it is a little understandable. It's a TV show and they need to keep up with the competition to stay on the air.
Oh definitely! I really don't like it when people call the President a dictator or Fascist(however badly he has definitely done). We in America have no idea what those words mean.
Try living in Afghanistan for a day, especially as a woman.
Um well I liked Spongebob, lol. But that's ok. Like I said, a lot of it is based on opinion. That's why this will always be a never ending debate. Lol :)
Yeah, well as I've always said, I think it's never a good idea to paint yourself into a corner like that.
And again, I liked Elmo in the '80s, lol. It's not the character that changed, it's the whole show. :)
Lol, yeah the original idea was that Big Bird was just a big silly dumb Bird. Later on, he became just a big child, not stupid but innocent.
Actually, this is a lot better than other early BB skits I've seen! lol
This is purely my opinion, but there will always be fads that gain popularity, even when they don't deserve it. The quality work may get forgotten by the majority, but that doesn't mean they are gone. Sometimes quality survives in the hands of a few people, who work to bring their interests the...
I don't know if it's a fact either. It just seems that that's what the company feels.
But you know, if your kid doesn't like Elmo, they will just go on to other kids shows. There's not much choice.
Yeah it's complicated. Sometimes it's good to bring in new blood. Family Guy took over where The Simpsons left off, it was needed.
On the other hand, sometimes we get so caught up in doing something new, we reject the old as useless. If this keeps up, we won't have anything left that's worth...
Well, as a Catholic, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to go to a club if you just want to have a good time. It sounds like you don't want to do things that will just cause trouble, and that's good. It can be hard living with your parents, it's hard for everyone. Hopefully as you...
