Sesame regulars in Bert and Ernie's appartment

Oscar also appeared in the apartment two chocolate ice cream cones, one of which he gave to Bert and another he traded with Ernie for mashed banana with cold gravy. Looking back, I notice how Oscar, like Cookie, usually walked into the apt. without knocking and nobody even seemed to notice or...

    Favorite Richard Hunt characters

Here are some Richard appearances dear to me: The librarian AM on SS who gets annoyed by Cookie Monster. Kyle Kawinga (sp?) the singing civil servant on TMS. Richard as Beautiful Day Monster on TMS with Paul Williams. There's more where that came from!

Get Well Card for Jerry Nelson

Well, THAT's no fun. He'll never enjoy a mystery novel that way. ;)

Sesame Skits and Songs with Kermit

Hmmmm...... I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the "W" lectures from the 1st episode. :)

    Space Shuttle Explosion

Phil, How's the mood in Texas with this event? I get the idea that this particularly is hitting home for folks in Texas, although everyone everywhere is suffering. Any Texans on this board living near the area where this happened or where debris has hit? Here in New York, many people in...

Why did nobody like Little Bird?

I don't know, I liked Little Bird and that voice Fran gave her. (It is a her, right?) Perhaps most of the kids didn't stay interested in her for very long.

    Important: who are these muppets

#5 - This is Lefty that's been spoken about alot here, sometimes just known as "The Salesman" in coloring books and the like. #7 - Looks like Prairie Dawn to me. #12 - Oscar's significant other, Grungetta. No, wait, they're grouches, so she's his insignificant other.

    Grover question

Keep in mind that Grover is one of the 4 stars of "Play With Me Sesame" along with Bert, Ernie and Prarie Dawn. And that show's been doing rather well with the kiddies who have Noggin.

The One Thing Forgetful Jones Does Remember

Like Don Music, Forgetful was played by the late great Richard Hunt.

    Don Music

LOL. I can hear that dialogue in my mind with Floyd laughing at him!

Why does Pepe end his sentences with "okay"?

Almost anything he says in that voice is funny to me.

Looking for MP3 of "sad flower" music...

I only know it's by Vivaldi written for a string quartet. Which piece it is I couldn't say.

    Sam the Robot's voice

Wasn't there a story out there that Spinney originally did Sam but then passed it along to Nelson?

the twelve stones in the desert

This stop-motion animation does look like it has Jim Henson's fingerprints on it. :) My New Year's resolution. No more silly puns for me like that...... for the remainder of 2002, anyway.

    Don Music

He was performed by the late great Richard Hunt. I couldn't imagine who could realistically take over this character, even if they could duplicate the voice. Happy New Year!

    Eric Jacobson

I like that look of Jacobson with long hair. It almost looks like Frank when he had long hair around the pre-1969 muppet days.

    Is Jerry Nelson still performing?

Maybe I haven't been properly keeping up. I know his characters in the new Christmas special were performed by others while he contributed his voice. But he hasn't retired, has he? Maybe if you're reading this, Jerry (or "Scred" :) ) you can directly shine some light on this.

    There's A UFO Toward Ya

I'm sure this is old hat knowledge to most people. Just the same, the voiceover for that UFO bit was Northern Calloway, aka. "David": also the voice for the jazzy Muppet who visualized shapes. -"Do you know what a square is?" -"I know WHO a square is. LOL!!!!!"

    The Land Of Eight

It's just amazing that half the world doesn't know about Henson's animation talents, whether King of Eight or the Baker # series intro or even in Timepiece with the confetti-esque animation that seemed to show up between scenes.

    Ernie's "A" Machine: I don't get the joke.

Thanks folks, I knew I'd get an answer to that mysterious punchline if I through the question open here. And I was mistaken, I'm not slapping my head and saying "Oh, of course" because I never heard of that phrase "make hay when the sun shines". It may have been popular when Jim Henson, Frank...
