    When you need to rant...

I'm mixed about part seasons. It's the inbetween of 5 episodes for 15 dollar 1999 style releases and full on box sets too scary for brick and mortar retailers for not being a current TV show. I'll take half seasons to 5 episode disks any day, but I really wish more of these companies would...

TV shows you wish would come back

Space Madness is great. Not only does Ren's sanity slippage have a brilliant structure to it (Games animation episodes try too hard to make Ren go insane), but his entire "You like the same things I do" speech references some crazy obscure movie from the 50's, adding to the natural 1950's...

    When you need to rant...

It would be in poor taste, they did it out of respect. That shows restraint. The government didn't shut them down, it was a respectable self made decision. That is a level of wearing Twin Towers T-shirts ironically poor taste if they didn't. It wasn't some yahoo blowing his head off...

    Sesamstrasse's 40th birthday

To no surprise, they favored the Sesame Street version over the more popular Muppet Show version. Great skit though and... hey... Singing Toilet? Okay... we can no longer complain about Fozzie's Fart Shoes if Sesamstrasse has a singing toilet.

TV shows you wish would come back

Double post for some reason. One show I was wanting to come back, actually did. Unfortunately, the dub isn't half as much fun as the 4Kids one (and considering 4Kids, that's saying something... it's one of the few shows, if any, that actually was better). Sigh.. that was waaaaay too...

TV shows you wish would come back

The case of Ren and Stimpy Adult cartoon party is a strange one. It's not so much bringing back the show that was the problem. They brought it back for the right audience the wrong way. What made Ren and Stimpy so clever was how adult it was without being obvious about it. You don't need to...

Warner Bros. Focuses More On Animated Films

Warners doesn't have too good a track record on that stuff. Iron Giant was a classic, sure. That's because Brad Bird is a genius. Legend of the Guardians was supposedly terrible (and ugly, and I bet that lead to confusion with Rise of the Guardians, which was brilliant), and I don't even see...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Finally got to see Monsters Inc 3-D. I'm surprised that it didn't have a new short before it like Finding Nemo did. They just reused For the Birds. Not that I'm complaining, as it's one of my favorites. That big goofy bird, clearly inspired by a certain Yellow friend of ours. I have a...

    Non-Muppet MP3 Trade Page

Drat. There was a site I got that from, and I can't remember. And I long got rid of the Zip file that was in. I could try to get it to you, but I have to put everything back in a zip file and hope Yahoo e-mail can comply with that.

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

To be fair, they have many other franchises to balance. The Marvel items they have at the same stores are the same things you can get anywhere else cheaper. They just need a better presence in their stores and to get season 4 out there once and for all. Other than that, Henson hasn't had a...

TV shows you wish would come back

Let's not forget what happened the last time they brought Ren and Stimpy back. Do we really want that to happen again? :electric:

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

My complaint is with the stop and go they have with Muppet promotion. Well before the movie they had a huge momentum of Muppet stuff. The XD website, the Youtube videos, the comic books... then a dead stop until the movie, when everything was focused the movie promotion, then a dead stop...

    When you need to rant...

 You mean that's stopped them before? I don't really trust self regulation either, but I will applaud this story I heard. There were to be 4 Gun shows this weekend within a 50 mile radius of the school shooting. All parties decided it was in their best interest to cancel those shows...

What We'd Like to See for Old School Vol. 4

Yeah, I know about how stupid music rights are... but, unlike all the other cases, Sesame Street has been on 40+years continuously, and they're still using the same theme song. Why the theme song of a current show can't be cleared when the show supposedly owns the song yet none of the other...

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

That would have defeated the purpose, and it would have been a terrible change. Saying "It's an ALIEN!" is a cheap shot. Now, that isn't to say the turtles weren't mutated by alien technology. In every universe, except for the movies (due to budget and confusions about Krang, that is) the...

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

Hopefully that one's not going to happen. I'm incredibly disappointed they didn't Jimmy Neutron/Barnyard TMNT and have it premiere as a movie before it became a TV show. The was the plan at one point. I'd much rather a film based on this incarnation of TMNT than that ridiculous concept they had.

    When you need to rant...

People who have mental problems with fiction and reality can have problems with any work of fiction. The old "putting on a towel and flying like Superman" bit, though I never heard of any story of that ever happening. And sure, kids like to play what they saw on TV, which is basically the same...

    When you need to rant...

To link violent video games to mass murder, no matter how many botched/suspiciously funded studies say, is the height of blame passing and Nanny State idealism. Saw is a popular franchise. Does that mean everyone going to see it is going to kidnap/lure victims to an abandoned meat packing...

    When you need to rant...

Like I said... Real life guns= HANDS OFF! That's crushing my civil liberties! We need to arm more people to prevent violence and not manufacturing combat weaponry for civilian use is UnAmerican! Any action taken here won't do any good. Fictitious Guns= GET RID OF THEM! Impressionable...

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

Television CGI isn't going to be nearly as good as Pixar quality. The animation is quite an improvement over Jimmy Neutron, that's for sure. Watch some of the earlier JN cartoons, and you can see just a little strobing in between movements. My only issue with the animation is that the humans...
