I couldn't find any previous mention of this on the forum, so I think it's news.

Corey Edwards' blog
As mentioned on the Muppet Newsflash, Corey Edwards is chronicling his work on his personal blog:

He only has two posts so far regarding the Fraggles, but they are interesting to read. One reader's comment I found very cool:
Hi ya...
With the animated series already digitized for the Australian release (and with DVD sales continuing to do well in the US), I would anticipate an American box set before too long.
Thanks for the info; all three speculations sound very valid and hopefully we'll hear more soon.
I think the most important factor might be time. It originally sounded (to me anyway) a bit optimistic to be able to produce two deluxe collector's items properly for the fall. Especially since...
Bad news from Insight
Checking their website, insighteditions.com, I noticed on their "Forthcoming Titles" page that they have several books coming in the fall, with Fraggle not among them. Since there was no listing, I decided to e-mail them and ask about it.
They replied saying that the...

This year's calendar has a lot of images we don't often see (some I had never seen). I hope they continue that :)
Puppetry will always be more organic than CG, but if the story isn't interesting and sincere and the characters aren't interesting and sincere, I don't think it really matters which you use.
Good to know, Greg. Perhaps a late October release (rather than early September) will allow for a really great finish on the bonus material.
Can't wait!
But I'd like to add that I am not a fan of Lionsgate either. Their quality control on the TMNT single-discs were good at first, but then they stopped cleaning up the episodes, and made up for it by adding previews to their discs. Ugh.
Exactly. Lionsgate will most likely have the same influence Fox did, which was virtually nothing. Henson and HIT are the ones making the creative choices.

True, but the alternative is to have them just sitting in storage. If they put them on iTunes, they can make a profit and we can buy songs otherwise unavailable. Even a selection of never-before-released songs would be great!
I still think it couldn't hurt to shoot 'em an e-mail ;)
After the recent news that all 96 Fraggle episodes would make their way onto iTunes, I thought it would be a good idea to e-mail Henson and ask about the availability of Fraggle music on iTunes too.
The recent CD re-issuing of the original three albums is wonderful, no doubt. But in an age...
