What's the point of any Muppet plush, toy or piece of memorabilia? Purely for people to have and enjoy. Sure there are things that aren't exact but tell me what you have ever bought that HAS been perfect? DVDs and CDs are great quality but not a patch on the original 35mm or 16track recordings...
The poser on this pic from the official Muppets site is a bit closer. Not quite as bad as the MR replica tho.

It depends on which photos you look at. The more modern Animal has a bigger space between his eyes than the 70s version that had pretty much no gap. It is definitely more pronounced on the MR replica.
But you are comparing two different ways of creating the same thing. Terry Angus, master puppetmaker, making one replica takes time and effort. The same standards could only be upheld if Terry made each replica himself which would cost a lot of money, take lots of time and give poor Terry a...
I don't make puppets, but people on here who have talked about their own creations explainthe time, effort and cost of making such a replica. Master Replicas make their replicas as accurate as possible and at a fraction of the cost of a hand crafted replica by a Muppet craftsperson.
Purely by accident, I stumbled accross legal downloads of the complete singles of "Underground" and "Magic Dance" on iTunes. All the mixes from the original 12" singles are available and they are encoded at a high bit rate. Also, they don't have any limits to how you use them. To download each...
I don't see Gonzo's mouth as being too bad. The photos on the MR wesite are taken at peculiar angles. Much like the photos of Animal on there. The pupil placement in the eyes seems off again, like Animal's was in the first China prototype, but apart from a little colour tweaking he looks great...
It looked a bit wild in the MR photos but his hair changed a lot over the years of TMS and the movies anyway. I hope the hair is light and flexible enough to be messed around with a little to give him a slightly more even appearence.
I think a new thread should be started now he is out of the...
I was more than pleased with the way Kermit looked. I really hope Animal doesn't disappoint. I think some interaction between Animal and The Frog should be in the photos. :) :halo:
What a great piece of Muppet memorabilia. I might put a small bid in but the shipping costs to the UK for something that heavy would be pretty high. By the way, your write up says you ship internationally but your listing is listed as only shipping in the US.
I take it that MR sent some to the UK at the same time as they sent them to the US? I had to wait for my Kermit to go from China to the US and then to the UK, so it took months in all.
Yeah, I've noticed that beak look they give him in some photos. Even official Muppet photos with an official poser. Some of the new Kermit merch uses a photo of him with his arms in a shrug pose with his mouth open and with a "beaked" top lip. He doesn't look right like that.
Some people can...
