This week has not been a trip to the amuzementpark for me. I feel the need to get some things out of my head and i hope you people understand. Those of you that can't handle depressed people, look away now.
Me and my fiancee has had it a bit turbulent lately. After we'd been to her parents...
I remembered that i had the David Pannabecker video, and i had a look at it and duplicated that body-pattern. It taught me a thing or two and i think i got the hang of it. The body i made was reinforced with wire at the neck and sleeve holes.
You can do a 2 piece foam-head for the glorified sock puppet pattern.
Just use half inch sheet foam, and use the same pattern as for the fleece. Just slightly smaller.
PS. i've been learning for 7-8 years and i am still learning. I haven't done a carved head yet. Just take it step by step...
Don't get me wrong on that last post. It is a very nice puppet and well worth the money. But since i am going to start selling myself, i'm wondering about the starting bid.

Here's a guide with pictures on how to carve a foam head.

Good luck on carving. Don't forget to show us what you've created later on ;)

I had an idea about doing a wireframe with small gauge wire, and tracing...
I'm not in the US or Canada, i am a european citizen. Sweden to be exact. I am planning on shipping to whomever want to buy the puppets.
Thanks for your pointers. By the way, didn't Terry Angus start with that title? "Professional muppet style puppet". It's his words aren't they?
I can sometimes...
let's get some life into this thread again, it may be useful for all of us ;)
When alot of people recomends something, such as use of gasket rubber, go ahead and try it. You will not be dissapointed.
To start bringing in some extra money for the rent, i am going to start selling some puppets on Ebay. I was wondering if some of you who frequently sell on ebay could tell me some things?
How much do a puppet generally sell for. What methods of payment are recomended?
Any tips and pointers...
In case you don't know the ladder stitch, here is some info:

Perhaps you've seen pictures and videos where they sew the puppets face from the outside, instead of inside out, they are using the ladder stitch.
