You know, the whole time I was watching the clip last night I thought "What's different? Something's different..." And it occured to me, it sounded more like Kermit! Aww, our little gopher's growing up. ;)
There's this shot from the memorial of all the puppeteers together. It's from pretty...
For me it's never been that I'm against change or risque humor. It's that it used to be more subtle and adult. That's why I liked the Muppets, even as a kid. And I don't think it's necessarily true that the younger fans prefer the more recent projects. But I do think the older projects are...
Hmm, I can't remember the exact line in that scene, I'll have to look it up. But I really like Gobo's line later on when he says "I didn't see how important the slide was to Red. I only saw that it was fatal!" Lol
It's just that I thought even the scenes before the "I wish I wasn't born" part were mean spirited and jaded as well. It's just this odd trend that was in MFS and MWoO as well. But again, I thought this special also had its good points. It was nice to see Scooter again for instance. ;)
Oh yeah, it does show his priorities. It's rare to find professionals who really understand that when working with kids. As I've said before, I was shocked to hear so many former child stars saying they lost so much self confidence because of the thoughtless comments of their grown up co-stars...
Yeah I'd definitely recommend the CD, it's classic Muppets. As I just corrected on my post above, Amazon.com has the 2006, uncut version of the CD.
Well when I was a kid I would have said Ernie, because he was my favorite. But now that I'm older I identify more with Bert, lol. So take your...
There are two JD specials, but only one was for Christmas. As for the Christmas CDs, there was one released in the '90s with some of the songs cut. The 2006 edition has all 13 tracks.
I should correct that it looks like it's Amazon.com that has the 2006 version (from both Amazon and third...
Ah, you're right, you do have the complete CD. There are supposed to be 13 tracks. You luckily got a complete '90s version. I don't know why there's a '90s version with cut numbers, but it is also available on BarnesandNoble.com (and I'm from the US). ::shrugs::
It's ok, like I said, it's so hard to hear and understand. You really need to strain to hear anything, lol. But it's definitely there. :)
Of course I don't know, but I get the impression Richard might have known the people he was talking to. He seems to be saying the kid's name, but I can't...
Aw, off topic, but I also love Bakshi's version, lol. Yeah it's incredibly corny and weird, but it also has charm. And it was more accurate to the story than even Jackson's was (though I love Jackson's too). :)
But anyway, I still remember hearing Roddy's voice as Samwise: "Be off! Or I shall...
Here's an idea that would be unlikely but cool. Apparently The Mickey Mouse Club TV show from the late '80s/early '90s held a contest and the winner got the chance to meet Jim Henson and company and watch them work on the 3-D show. A boy did win and they shot the segment, but because of some...
I really hope they mention Richard's directing debut on the last Fraggle Rock DVD. Well I hope they finish the collection period! Have to see "Gone But Not Forgotten!" Hehe
Ok, some of you might remember that I was asking out of nowhere one day about the clip of "Just One Person" from the...
